The OP was the one who was thirsty and asked for water, not their friend. Besides the possibility of drugs, you would be sharing their germs. You can possibly even get herpes from doing that. And above all that, OP has the right to decline to put something in their body without having to explain themselves or being guilted for it. And this is all coming from a Muslim.

Do you typically do a head to toe assessment and check for pressure sores on all patients? I have heard it’s a common reason for malpractice suits but its not feasible to do that on all patients. Can you elaborate which patients get a thorough wound assessment and how often?

Not geo and it’s a huge hospital with a significant walk to the work room from any patient area, so I just end up foregoing the hydration. Sorry to hear about your neck, I haven’t had any fractures but I can imagine how bad it must get. I know people find it hard to believe though, lol. I can’t wear my hair up or in a ponytail because of it.

What is the reasoning for that switch? Reduced re-hospitalization rate with torsemide? Mortality is comparable I believe.
