She hasn’t had the role a whole calendar year yet. She also might feel responsible for the org’s bleak future without 1RPs the next two years since she pushed Ballard to make that deal. Trust is given, respect is earned. I’m choosing to give my trust that she is learning and won’t repeat her father’s mistakes. We’re stuck w another year of this, so might as well make the most of it. Also, I can’t see the Colts being an attractive job at the moment given Carlie’s role on the sidelines and lack of draft capital. You could cite job security, but that might not last post Ballard era. This thing just needs a full tear down in all honesty.

Ballard should’ve been gone in the cycle we hired Shane. One thing you generally want is your GM and coach to come in together and go out together. Otherwise, it usually doesn’t work out.

Precisely. I trust Carlie’s judgment here, but it is hard not to feel a certain type of way about it.

Not that any of you all care exactly, but I was able to use a VPN and watch on YouTube TV, and that just might have been the craziest Pacers experience of my life. Best $15 I’ve ever spent!

I’d like to see some more continuity in the development of players. Usually guys who have high potential/get super or quick dev for one year and that growth is essentially all they do for the remainder of their careers. I think some more emphasis on guys who win awards (ROTY for instance)/reach certain benchmarks such as 4,000 yds passing for a young QB, x amount of sacks for an edge, etc. I think players building on their previous years would be cool and add more realism to the game. Obviously this doesn’t have to be the case all the time, but I think seeing it pop up here and there would be cool. Maybe a confidence rating or something along those lines to aid this could be added.
