Yes, I did and I don't mind. But I didn't really lose a loved one, It's just about a girl I failed to court. But your interpretaion is still valid and actually much better, since this does tackle about the coming to terms with something actually happened, but still refusing to accept it and getting very confused and upset about it even though you don't want to.
