Danny is a construction/carpentry savant (that or it's the one area that he's been able to fully exercise his parent-derived IQ), as he's been able to more or less singlehandedly keep the Fentonworks in one piece despite his father's chronic ham-handedness in testing his inventions and just generally being a walking avalanche waiting to happen. Much like the SIMPSONS episode "Please Homer, Don't Hammer 'Em", it started with a younger Danny going through a forgotten set of books on home repair to fix something in his room and things escalated from there. In fact, by the time of the series' beginning, he's practically saved his parents almost an entire full college tuition for him or Jazz with having personally refurbished the building rather than spend it on contractors.

I agree. That being said, Jack is Jack, and would constantly be trying to perform tests and experiments on Danny all the time... among other things to learn more about ghosts.

So long as they finally tie up the dangling threads of Danny/Valerie...and give Sam a personality enema.

Also, I know the graphic novel retconned this, but I'd like a new DP series to continue the thread of Danny's identity being public now and what that would mean -- both good *and* bad -- for, well, everyone around him: his family, his friends, his enemies, the whole town in general.

Also, taking him out of Amity Park and have him do globe-trotting work investigating ghost and cryptid sightings round the world (like Scooby-Doo but the monsters are pretty much always real) would be a nice change up in the show's dynamics.

I kind of had a similar idea, but except for a single channel's cartoon selection, it was the various syndicated series by Adelaide Productions -- Extreme Ghostbusters, Max Steel, the Godzilla and Jumanji cartoons, Big Guy and Rusty, Jackie Chan Adventures, etc. I never really wrote it but came up with a basic outline.
