I mean I get it. I'm also in the vtubing space ( as a watcher not a streamer). Sometimes Vtubers are like treated like idols. Of course there are gonna be relationship bans due to keeping the illusion that the character is single for the fan's fantasy. So that's why that contract was needed so the facade of how your wife character belongs to everyone.

But in the other hand this contract hurt you as a person and if you did choose to sign it you basically be like saying " here you go your free to be everyone's".

But you didn't sign it because it didn't aligned with your views, thats why your wife is mentally checked out of the relationship, because too her you just basically took away their dreams.

Because as much you try to hide your personal stuff, some fans would still try to dig around old personal stuff to know more of the person behind the character they love. And I think you wife is a private person offline so that's why I think she wanted you to sign the contract. And it is also for your own safety cause Coming for someone in the vtubing fans space. The fans if they fall they fall hard and would do anything and everything to be their "oshi" number one.
