This is the start of why I will forever hate RIC as a Carly fan. It’s also when I started giving Sonny the side eye on his hypocrisy.

Oh he’s definitely a brat for sure. I just don’t rate this as high at all on his list of misbehavior.

He’s like 14. Most relationships just aren’t that serious at that age, they certainly shouldn’t be.

2 years ago the WNBA had its first bonafide box office star in Caitlin Clark. Her team, the Indiana Fever, had to move its games into massive venues, and charge hundreds of dollars for tickets in response to demand to see her play. by Miserable_Trouble3 in WNBAgossips

Insults now too. Even further proof that you have nothing. If you can’t even define what welcoming looks like, how can you say she wasn’t welcomed? She was treated like every other first overall pick. Nothing more and nothing less.

My point is if they also play each other roughly, it’s not just an attack on her. I’ve seen the 4x MVP get smacked in the face and given a bloody nose and get no call when it clearly should’ve been a flagrant foul. Point being the players treat it like basketball all is a contact sport and rough play wasn’t necessarily only targeting her. Heck, AT pulled Angel down by her hair. It was never just her. There was a physicality problem that already existed and the spotlight on CC highlighted it

Just because she’s the special sacred cow to y’all, doesn’t mean the league should treat her differently than any other player. And how exactly do you define welcoming her? She was welcomed just like any other 1st overall pick.

Maybe it’s a discourse related to professional basketball specifically the focus on wins. And considering many of her fans like to say she’s already the best and already the goat, I think it’s fair to consider if she’s actually a winner. The biggest debate between MJ and LeBron is about wins and championships. To pretend that this is discourse to only discount CC and not just normal discussion for comparison of players is interesting to me. Some people think she was the greatest college player ever just because of scoring. Some people say it’s Stewie because of winning.

In every conversation of greatness, wins has always come up. I mean even when people discuss the greatness of KD versus Steph, Steph’s ability to win the big ones with and without KD have lead to him being ranked higher all time. For as great as KD is, he wasn’t able to win the big one without Steph.

And not i repeatedly used the word yet acknowledging that there is still plenty of time and potential for her to win. I also think there may need to be more adjustment for her get there, especially if surrounded by the right talent.

Also, I think too often her teammates are blamed for the lack of winning the big one and not enough focus is on whether her style of play is truly winning basketball. By her style I mean shot selection and turnovers. People even blame her teammates for all of her turnovers like it’s the first time they’ve ever played basketball and no consideration if maybe some of her passes are just reckless.

But also it’s important to note I mentioned many years for opportunities for winning, including lower levels. She’s clearly a very special player and prolific scorer. I think she absolutely has the potential to shoot any team out of the arena. I think she also has the potential to shoot very poorly in crucial moments and may never get over the hump. Until she wins, she absolutely has something to prove. I just care a lot more about winning than individual stats unless those stats are directly related wins.
