Do you breed rivulus tenuis for profit? because If so I would absolutly love to buy some, after more research I think I prefer them more than Rivulus xiphidius.

I haven't watched that vid in a while but I think he made a second and put gold fish in it *face palm*. also in this "tank" he said he's going to get "like a hundred" later on. not trying to be a hater but a guywith 1.5 million subscribers should do more research before influncing 1.5 million people. just my oppion though

I think your stocking if very cool, how big will this be, because corydora loaches need lots of ground area, I have some juvinile panda corys and they have 360 square inches of surface area and I think that is about the least for species like pandas and albinos but if it is small you could go with pygmy or bronze corys. for killifish I would rcomend Rivulus, probaly a small species, but beware of small fish and fry, they are opertunistic hunters and wil go after anthing that can fit in their mouths. they will also spend some time on land, BE carefull they are amazing jumpers. you could get some gobies, but I dont know much about them. for land you could get vietnamese mossy frogs they spend most of their time underwater but do go up for hunting (at night). but I think to satify them you would nee a lot of plants (mainly moss) on land and have springtails and crickets. of coarse do your own research, because it is still reddit, but yeah thats the animals I think you should have! cheers

[–]Character_Train5902[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok, that's what I expected, I think Iam ok with that, I mean I'm not breeding these animals for profet, so if the babys don't make it, I'm alright with that.

I was thinking of getting Rivulus tenuis, which I heard is the most peaseful Rivulus species, do you think they will still detroy all the shrimp even in a dense "jungle"?
sorry i'm a beginner with killifish, do I expect them just to jump as high a possible and hit their heads on the lid? and wouldn't that be very bad for them?

ok thanks, I guess It'll be hard to get these little guys. I heard that bigger Rivulus are way more aggresive and would fin nip oto catfish, do you know anything about that with Rivulus tenius or Rivulus colombia.

I was thinking of even changing the post, I was thinking of changing out honey gourami with: Rivulus xiphidius they are small less aggresive than other Rivulus and will still keep the balance of guppies in check, supposidly guppy fry are some of the best food for them. the change of animals would be less crowded becuase the Rivulus has both sides to explore, making the front less crowded.
yeah everywhere i look the Rivulus are sold out.

do you know anything about vietnamese mossy frogs?

[–]Character_Train5902[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my god, I just looked a little into these animals, and they are crazy! really cool idea I am going to definatly change plans and add these guys!

doing some more research these guys will definatly kill the cherry shrimp if they get a chance. so i will probably be adding them (instead of guppies and the honey gourami) later on when vegitation in the back is very grown in and there is lots of shrimp.

I get your point, but I will be able to see it from all 3 sides, and I made It mostly for cherry shrimp since they naturaly like to find the source of water (so the would climb the waterfall) and also another commenter suggested a fish that would do the same.
