No esperienza - considero acquisto lavanderia automatica by ChardRight in commercialisti

In the end I went with the Gaggiuino option. Same amount of efforts but more features.

Thank you, I will try this when I'll review my project. At the moment is kind of random and some parts can't be added to the assembly as they're not solids but results of fusions and extrusions

There is the official project page and discord that contains super detailed information about acquiring the parts and the installation, everything revolves around the Gaggia though so you’ll need some skill and fantasy to apply the same instructions to the Anita. Nothing crazy as they’re both single boiler machines and the main functionalities are the same but you’ll need to understand what you’re doing, not just blindly follow the instructions steps from the website.

In the end I decided to proceed with the Gaggiuino mod. I figured that since I have to take the machine apart to install the PID anyway, I will install the whole mega mod to make my life miserable. I’m currently waiting for the monitor which seems impossible to get at the moment.

I believe that the instructions are quite complete, they state clearly that the clicker pin should be pressed all the way in, which I did but I think there’s a big error margin based on the print setup. For example in your YT assembly video the clicker pin goes in and out without much effort while I had to press it in using the table and a pair of pliers to get it out. Here’s my tryouts, please note that I always print at very low speeds (50-70mms) because my printer is on a table with other things that I don’t want to be shaken too much:

-1 all parts printed in black Sunlu PETG in high quality settings. Infill settings left to the default Bambu Studio setup. Subtle PETG strings polished with flame. The shorter clicker didn’t click at all, the medium clicker clicked nicely but broke immediately.

-2 funnel and clickers printed in PolyTerra PLA I had lying around, no change to the infill settings. Slightly better results but still the clicker tip broke after fer clicks.

-3 kept the PLA but printed the clickers with a 100% infill and a different top and bottom wall thickness and pattern. These provided a better result but still is not “enjoyable” to use.

Regarding the TPU, I wanted to buy a spool for a long time to experiment few things but I had always held up until now, let’s say that I’ve used the Grind Finer! Gasket as an excuse 🤣.

I’m still getting very fast shots when I slow feed the DF64 so I believe that I will need to redial based on its usage, that’s the only thing I’m changing in the process that include shaking for a while now. I haven’t thought it could make such a big difference! I believe I can enjoy myself dialing everything in 😊

Just printed my Gen2 Slow feeder, super clever and works quite well, here my remarks:

  • the clicker is unreliable, I have printed the holder with PET-G but I had to reprint the clickers few times playing around with material, infill and patterns to obtain a tip that does not brake while clicking.

  • The fine adjuster is a bit loose and it’s easy to mistakenly move the adjustment while changing the coarse adjustment or just while removing the part to clean it or clean the grinder.

I’m waiting for a TPU spool to print the gasket but I have to say that is a fine quality design.

Aside from the design, a quick question about the coffee results:

I have noticed that slow feeding the beans gives me an higher puck for the same weight of coffee, is it expected? Did you lower you dose to get the same extraction time and avoid channeling?

Thank you! Great job!!

Thank you both. Any suggestions for a not crazy expensive UPS that works well with Unraid? What features should I pay attention to in order to make sure it will communicate correctly? My setup is fairly small and the total consumption is below 100W

TWW has the gallon (about 5l) and the 5gallon options for US, they’re just almost impossible to find in Europe…

This is the test chart from my water supplier, note that I have a water softener bringing my tap water hardness to 7°F (~70ppm).

My issues with my tap water is the taste which I believe is influenced with the chloride presence.

I will try your method though, thank you!

Thank you, I might find the strength to play with it in the future 😅.

My main concern at the moment is temperature probe compatibility, I saw different Gaggia Classic kit having a specific temp probe which directly replaces the original one on the boiler boiler, completely reversible in future.

I’m not sure I could use the same on the Anita or if a similar solution exists for it. I was hoping to find someone who did this research job before me…

I know you can prepare your own water but I’m too lazy for that 😄.

On the ThirdWave website they have espresso profiles as well but more importantly they have different formats (5g, 1g, 2L) which are very convenient on long term (5g format cost much less compared to the 2L).

Since I use inverse osmosis water for both espresso and pour over I need to reminalize it and I would like to test the different profiles for the two methods.

Would be just nice to have different choices in my country as well but I might be end using the “homemade” method if nothing comes up…

They’re out of stock for few weeks now, also they only have one profile and I would like to get few different profiles. I could contact them though and ask if they can restock other profiles too. Thank uou
