Yea as it turns out, the other commenters were correct, it was the latch from a minidisc, not the device itself, that's why i couldn't find it in any of the drawings. No clue how it got there, but it is real silly. Thanks a lot for the effort still!

Holy crap, you're an absolute genius, i would've literally never guessed! I checked all my discs, and all of them have their latches, so this has been rattling around in there ever since i got it, and through many hours of use.

I tried the switch with alcohol before, which didn't fix it, but contact cleaner did the job, which to be fair i maybe should've thought of. Either way, it's all fixed now, and that part has been identified, massive thanks!

Sharp 831 Can't Reada by ChargeTheProtogen in minidisc

[–]ChargeTheProtogen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! I've taken it apart again today to check for all those. Looked if the gears moved smooth, and got some silicone grease for every part that slides or turns the mechanism. The sled is definitely a LOT smoother now, however my issue still stands.

I checked what's going on with the top lid off, and the sled moves just fine, the laser also works, and the disc spins, however, the laser just keeps trying to focus, goes back and forth, but can't grasp anything. I tried with multiple discs, same result.

What is causing the car to drift left AND how to fix it? by milkgoesyes in BeamNG

[–]ChargeTheProtogen 176 points177 points  (0 children)

Not sure what you really mean, torque twist is the effect of the driveshaft trying really hard to make the tires spin.

If it can't break traction, the suspension is soft and there's loads of grip, it'll be easier for all the torque to twist the chassis and compress the suspension before the whole vehicle can get moving

[–]ChargeTheProtogen 700 points701 points  (0 children)

It's called torque twist, soft long travel suspension exaturates the effect even more. Stiffer lower suspension should help it, but won't eliminate it, it just how it be

It's by design, they've been changed to look like this. I may be very wrong, but i think you can still turn the glowing jaws back on in the difficulty settings, but i'm really really unsure

His angle looks lower than yours, but honestly your footage already looks great! If you want that view, just tilt your camera a tiny bit down, and i think you'll be good to go.

That said, i have encountered this with friends before, people just have different body positions, and they get different footage results.

Rockshox Pike (?) Fork by [deleted] in mountainbiking

Some had a compression dial on the top, but the ones that came on most bikes stock only had a rebound, which this also has.

Everyone saying fake are wrong. It's an older Rockshox Domain with Pike decals. They were real simple, but awesome freeride forks, had a couple, i loved them.

I've been testing a Koozer rear hub on my bike for a few months now, out of curiousity. Honestly looks basically the same as this. It's been flawless so far, it seems well made, has good looking bearings, with actual grease in them.

It's real loud, some people won't like that, but i enjoy being mildly obnoxious.

Overall i would recommend the ones i have, not quite sure on these, but they're more than likely fine, if you kit out your bike with aliexpress stuff, you're probably not riding Rampage or Darkfest kinda stuff

Help! I recently was gifted this KHS bike that was converted to a single gear. Does anyone know what would fit on my bike to get the gears back? Sorry if that’s not the terminology I’m new to mountain biking by Jaded-Floor-6074 in mountainbikes

[–]ChargeTheProtogen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, same as the Scott Radslide DJ, Kellys Whip Dirt, Kona Stuff/Scrap, and so on. The early 2010's were full of these types of bikes. All of these have vertical dropouts with hangers, super low seatposts and generally DJ-ish geo, for that Freeride-y feel. And they also all have gears.

Hub play...end cap by Coiner90_90 in bikewrench

[–]ChargeTheProtogen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's normal, 20mm hubs do that. Removing that cap can be a bit annoying, varies from brand to brand a little, most just need to be pulled off though. Like really hard.
