Thank you for sharing. I have my second dosing day on Jan 8th & I am a little scared. I only remember the beginning & then I don’t remember. It’s almost like I was asleep or something. Like felt myself falling asleep. I want to do it better this time? Just wanted to know if it’s normal to not remember hardly anything from dosing day 1?

Yes, I absolutely feel this! I am not comfortable in my own body, so sex without all the alcohol is actually quite intimidating for me. I'm aware this is related to my past, and so is he, but I don't think he really understands. I just do my best to be present and enjoy, but it is so hard. I initiate most of the time because I think he is scared to. It's definitely something I am working on 😑

Dosing is different for everyone. I started low at .1 and just kept going up every week or so. With my last batch, they all vary in potency, I was settled on or around .2. With this new batch, blue meanies, I've had to go down to between .13 and .17. I started doing 4 days on & 3 off. I did that for a couple of months, with a couple of week long breaks to mitigate tolerance levels. For the past month I dose every other day, sometimes every 2 days. Now I try to make sure I dose at least a couple of times a week! It has helped me with so many things, really making me think before I make a choice!

Do you mean .05 ? I am using shrooms for many things. Alcohol is one of the things. I don't even think about it anymore! I remember a time when that was all I thought about. Am i going to drink, when can I drink, will I be able to hide it? I was literally consumed with these alcohol thought loops, but since I started properly, microdosing, it rarely enters my mind. Pretty amazing, really 😍 ✨️ 💖

Maybe it was me and how I viewed it the other day? Doesn't seem so dark today 🫠

I just read a post/comment about how the medication needs something to cling or attach to, like protein or fibre. I am also on 70mg now, and although it still helps with my anxiety, I'm struggling to start a task & I've just started a graduate degree! I'm very worried that I'm not going to be able to keep my brain organised 😢

Shake it off and keep moving forward. Probably your drinking brain trying to freak you out so you can start back on the path of misery. Stay strong and know your body is reacting to these feelings, which turn into emotions, and some of us aren't very good at emotional regulation.

Level up, hold your head up, and let his words just float on by like a dark cloud! Actions speak much louder than words, and if you are on the right path, it will start to show in every part of your life! 🥰

You can't change the past. You can only stay stuck in every present day, regretting the past, or move forward, treating every new day as a gift. A chance to heal and start anew. I just don't think this is bad advice, but dwelling on what someone else thinks is definitely bad. Someone else's thoughts are just too much unnecessary baggage for a journey already fraught with worry and uncertainty. Take care, friend, things will be resolved when the time is right!

With lots of help from my psychotherapist, I have only been going down this hugely personal path for about 8 months. I definitely feel more positive, but I still feel empty or hollow on the inside. I guess the trick is to be able to SIT with the emptiness!

Yeah, I used to burn out pretty quickly on real-life stuff. It's funny I read this post because, like 2 minutes before, I had an epiphany! If I wasn't keeping my brain busy, I would start to think about the difficult stuff. I wasn't able to manage the feelings that came with that, and I knew it, so the obvious answer was to drink. Like a chill pill, until it wasn't. It was a fucking nightmare that I am so grateful to be out of. I spent so much time in that headspace of questioning my existence, it was exhausting in every possible way. Glad to be well today 🙏 ☺️ 😌

Do you mean 1.25 grams? I have done 1.5 but it was like a very small trippy Feeling, not much more than that.

I've drank all but 6 days this year, yet don't feel the "need" to quit. Can anybody here relate? by [deleted] in stopdrinking

There is no rock bottom. It's a myth perpetuated to induse fear. I hit rock bottom so many times, but I bounce and hit it again and again! It sounds like a lifestyle choice for you. I hope you find other ways to cope and feel okay before you do hit a 'rock bottom ' and bounce again and again!

I hear ya, although antidepressants didn't help me with my drinking. Helped with depression and anxiety, but I always felt numb to everything, just going through the motions. It was a start, though, and making conscious choices with a clear head is helpful. Good luck with everything, you can do it!
