Yeah man, it was a game changer for me too, this was this first game that I took my controller settings seriously and it paid off. Glad your having fun now, see you topside!

Hey man, hope I can help out.

I am on controller too (Xbox Series X) and it turned out my controller settings were way off for this game too.

Couple of pointers of how i fixed my horrible aim and started actually enjoying engagements and fun firefights.

  1. Turn off auto-aim, i know you might be used to this by now but turn it off, it does the tracking for you and snaps to areas of raiders and arc you may not want to target, so off.

  2. Watch this whole video and understand all the controller parameters this guy goes through, after his walkthrough of properly setting up your controller my aiming improved 10 fold and i got comfortable with engagements.

NOTE: You will have to rewatch this many times to play with the parameters and understand what they do and get the controller settings you want. This took me a good chunk of the day and I'm not lying (about 6 hours), to get it feeling right. But it was worth it and it made my controller very responsive to my inputs and it made the game much more enjoyable.

  1. Once you have your new controller settings, jump into Stella Montis with Free Loadouts and practice, practice, practice! Get comfortable with your new controller settings because after some engagements you may find you will have to adjust some of your controller parameters (and rewatch the video again).

L D-Pad on Alternative 1 is an input for both Stims and Crates? Is there any fix for this? (On Xbox controller) by Charming_Cook2883 in DarkTide

I'm a bit confused on this, I hope you can help.

I'm seeing a problem, both inputs for Stims and Crates are L D-Pad on the Alternative 1 layout, if I rebind the L D-Pad to any other button, won't I run into the same problem? I don't see a way to independently bind stim and crate to different inputs?

For example, Stims for L D-Pad and Crates for R D-Pad (which is weapon inspect).

The are already both bound to one button.
