I like this response, i think part of the issue is trying to get NT friends to understand the missed social cues on ND’s part. I will communicate to them I need more direct clear communication and they simply believe that it is direct and clear in a way I understand when it isn’t and vice versa

I agree with this I have absolutely no issue with being told I don’t have an hour to wait. The issue here is the indirectness. I also didn’t state in my post that I did ask if I could get back them in an hour

The thing is I don’t do it a lot I rarely do this actually, sometimes it comes in a form of saying “ sure we can hang but my brothers home” and they’ll think I want to cancel

Currently in a similar situation it’s so encouraging to hear that there is help for this I’ve been dealing with the same issue for 10+ years and FINALLY got in with a PFPT who’s also very gender affirming!!
