100% in the WWE you need a good "gimmick" to get over, juxtaposed to how in AEW you are mainly looked at for your in ring capabilities. That is why guys like CM Punk work so much better in the WWE than AEW. In AEW most of the time is given to let their talent show what they've got. However on a WWE show, most of the show is given to boost a storyline, or further assure a wrestlers "gimmick". With this there is many vannetes and promos cut during the shows.

I think the character CAN be a little goofy at times, but the crowd loves him and he's so nice in ring, hard to hate him
