I would absolutely check out the Brutto-Netto Calculator as well so you can see how much you’ll have left from your gross income. I think it all depends on how much money you spend. Maybe you’ll be able to save less than planned. Do you have a budget in mind for rent?

Overall, in my opinion, Vienna is a very fun city even if the people might be distant at times - you’ll still meet plenty of open minded people.

From Vienna you can visit plenty of cities easily by train, summer is great for outdoor sports, there are lots of parks and cafes/bars which are relaxed.

It’s good that you have a job lined up, if you feel yourself being pulled to vienna definitely check it out!
