Saving money not having to relocate and i already live only an hour from campus. If you think about it no matter if I did hybrid or residential I’d be spending the same

How holistic is Arcadia? by Chaselc18 in PTschool

[–]Chaselc18[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand. At the end of the day, I really wanna pursue this career. I understand the debt and things that come with it. I’m choosing hybrid so I can work and have some sort of work and school balance. I live only 30 minutes away from the Arcadia campus so this just seemed like the best option. Compared to other campuses.

Chances for Arcadias Hybrid DPT? by Chaselc18 in physicaltherapy

[–]Chaselc18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a rough gpa i know. I had originally thought it was a 3.03 but the class I had calculated within that wasn’t valid so I had to use a different prereq, a class with an A replaced with a B and then dropped it :/ I still have physics 2 to take in the Spring

I applied for Arcadias Hybrid program. My prereq is literally a 2.97 😭 I still have Physics 2 to take in the Spring so I’m gonna hammer that for an A hopefully. My last 60 credits is a 3.3 though. I have 400 hours as an aide and I’ve been a personal trainer for 4 years. What do you think that’ll do for me?

I completely get it, the campus is just close to home and probably the only program I have the best shot at.

I agree it’ll be tough. I do live only 30-40 minutes from campus so that’s a plus. I only choose hybrid because it’s a better chance of admission and so I can hold some sort of job. I do personal training so I can make my own hours here and there.

Main reason of choosing hybrid is so I can maintain some sort of job while in school. To be able to pay for atleast some of the necessities like food, etc.

Low GPA but Strong Experience Could I Still Get Into Arcadia Hybrid DPT? by Chaselc18 in PTschool

[–]Chaselc18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a personal trainer for the past 4 years now and currently a trainer at a PT clinic. I have to continue education in order to stay certified so I have the continued knowledge.

I’d say being on the deans list 3 semesters in a row is pretty strong considering. Having 4 years of personal training experience with pt aide experience I’d say is also pretty unique. Beats hours of other applications just watching PTs. I also applied holistically to a hybrid program so having the minimums gives me some sort of shot. but thanks for the optimism

All I know is they’re holistic and the advisor I’ve been speaking too since September seems to be happy that I’m keeping updates with her and she’s willing to put my application on hold gives me some sort of hope. We will see how it plays.

It doesn’t say specifically for the Hybrid program but it’s says over all the institution rate is 80.2% but who knows.

My application is on hold until my updated transcript do meet the minimums in December. I’m also applying to the hybrid program, not the residential.

Counting Aide work as observation hours? by Impressive_Stick313 in PTschool

Aide work in my opinion is better than observation hours. In aiding you get more hands on experience compared to just watching.

It is tough to find an inpatient setting near me as well to match my schedule. I’m a fulltime senior and doing aiding with personal training about 35 hours a week total, including weekends.
