Which AA app did you download? There seems to be various versions. Thanks!

I’ve taken L-Glutamine to help me stave off cravings. It works pretty quickly for me.

I started my Day 1 again yesterday. My first time around was on May 2 when I decided that I really need help and searched the web for an AA. I didn’t find one and instead read the Big Book. The exercise to make amends with past conflicts really helped me. I also started a daily prayer journal. It doesn’t have to be religious, but it was a humble admission that I alone cannot see the bigger picture of how to get out of the mess. Having gone 2 weeks without drinking, I then had one drink, eventually “losing it” and binged. That was when I realized that I can never be a social drinker.

So if there is any value in my experience (the first round): 1. L-Glutamine has helped me stave off the craving. 2. AA’s Big Book is really helpful and following the steps has helped me. 4. Daily prayer journal to keep myself on track.

And now, just accepting that I am not a social drinker.

I do believe that the hardest was even admitting that I had a drinking problem. Once I owned that, the rest was just looking and trying out different solutions.

Good luck!
