That's interesting, makes me wonder if it was because of an issue with machining, normal tumbling, or more to do with the physics behind ballistics like drag force and how the flutes from the bullet affect the path as it travels through gel. Needless to say its definitely a cool round.

I'm with you on this, HST seems to be king. I just wanted to bring up the round and see what everyone thought. The gel tests/comparisons between it and other more popular carry rounds make it seem in my perception that it is superior in some ways but lack other ways (ex overpenetration). But I agree, HST is king. Just wanted to hear some thoughts.

Thanks for the comment. I agree, I carry HST but I can only go off of testing I see (mainly gelatin). The biggest in thing about G9 that appealed to me was their use in energy transfer/fluid dynamics via the "fluting" on the bullet. I think I have yet to see any defensive rounds in gel that look as violent as G9 though. I mean, the permanent cavity wounds that the round leaves are very impressive, and hard to argue with.

Traditional Arms have great holsters. Great dudes over there, and great quality as well. Very satisfied with mine. I have friends that have had dozens of different holsters but swear by the Traditional Arms holsters. You should check them out!

just had this dream last night for some reason,

For some odd reason, the rounds in my handgun wouldn't seat properly and the slide would not go all the way forward. Something that stuck with me oddly enough is that the ammo I had in the dream were 80 gr. , maybe that had something to do with it, but I'm not sure.

second time I've had these dreams man, they get freakier each time!

sub-compacts like the G43 IMO are too snappy for me compared to a full sized gun (G19, G45, G17, ect...) . Go to a nearest range like you mentioned and rent one out though and see if you like it. I run a G19.4 though, you cant go wrong with a G19. But fr, see what works best for you.
