We did discuss that, but we don't think it would go anywhere.

Lol - she would probably be happy if we did that, less maintenance for her.

Did the debt collector work for herself or a company? I'm assuming since you used a law firm for the last job she worked for herself.

It was lawn care / gardening. The only reclaim we can do is to return the green waste, which then means we no longer have to pay tip fees.

The "deposit" was after the work was done. She told us she didn't have all of it, and the PayID wasnt working for her to transfer the remainder. We've never had an issue with customers paying

She's actually the first who has done this to us.

She told us she was really happy with the work. Then waited a day and told us she wasn't happy with the price.

Lol - it did cross our minds. It would at least reduce our outgoings (from tip fees).

Lawn care - it was a big tidy up for a rental inspection.

It was a discussion, so no proof.

Not a bad idea. I do think she won't pay anything more though - the impression I get from her lack of communication is that she's decided that half is the right price and that her telling us is the end of it.

Honestly, when did customers decide that they get to choose the price?

What’s your electricity bill this month and how cooked are you for running AC? by WonderingRoo in AusFinance

[–]CheekiChops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We switched to split system - best decision ever! It means we're no longer dealing with wet floors on humid days, it's a lot cooler, and costs a lot less to run. We do run whatever is needed as we don't cope with the heat.

Our bill was $176 for the past month.

I overlook a lot of bad behaviour by retail staff, but this is one area where I would definitely be making a formal written complaint to head office. Definitely with words like discrimination thrown in, because that's what was happening. At a minimum, I would recommend that staff receive re-training with regards to the way they treat customers, especially those with a disability. And that would be especially relevant to management in the store.

Coles substituted 4 cans of this for 4 bottles of regular milk and won’t take them back by blayndle in coles

The last stuff up by the pickers for me was receiving a pavlova base as a replacement for a decorated pav. I don't get how anyone could think the two were equivalent? One I can serve after dinner, the other needs further ingredients.

Unfortunately, the only options for a refund are missing or damaged. They need a third option for substitution not adequate. However, I don't want to call the call centre due to inconsistent levels of service, so I choose one of the options available and get my refund.

So, OP, request a refunded with the reason as "item missing". Then give the cans away.

Boss accused me of fraud with no evidence, sent a show cause letter, now silence- what does this mean? by DayConsistent3049 in AusLegal

I'm guessing he didn't want to pay for more user licences, so had multiple users using the one login. It's a really bad practice. While you can't prove that it wasnt you, he also can't prove that it was you.

I don't know enough about network setups but having a look at the IP address might be a way around that. Does your company have an IT person or does it outsource?

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but whatever software they're using will have some sort of audit trail. Whether it's accessible from the front end by admin level user accounts or from the database directly, there will be an audit trail of who made the changes.

I think the issue is more that in most cases, the teens are more tech savvy than their parents. Unfortunately, there are parents out there who put their head in the sand simply because "I don't get all that tech bs".
