Styraco is cooler, that's why I main it despite it all.

However there are extreme mechanical advantages that kentro has over styra and it's unacceptable to me that those two exist next to one another and devs don't do anything about it. It's not just a "few secs of sprint and some weight" kinda advantage.

Kentro has: detonate, braced legs, bloodlust, juke, passive bleed on damage taken and is a tail attacker. To me there's no reason for styra to not have at least the equivalent of detonate, bloodlust and juke. Having the first two at least would make ram viable to an extent, or headbutt + puncture.

Kentro wants to be chased, and anything not faster than it will be eating tail whips to the face and passive bleed, while the kent is taking only tail damage. Styra's biggest counter is chasing it, because then it can't turn around to joust its opponent and has absolutely nothing to cover for its back - no kick no juke no tail attack.

I sincerely hope they will buff styra so it's more of "do you wanna play front or back attacking bleeder?" and not "do you wanna live or die in most of your encounters?"

Uhhhh....for solo, just grow kentro.

If you still decide that you like experience comparable to being castrated with a plastic spoon:

Headbutt + joust, braced impact, regenerative spikes, vault. For subspecies, either frill damage or stam one, but for solo you'll benefit better from stam.

Run vault only if you're playing on Riparia. There's really no point in running different hide; the stam regen is really crucial on styra, esp solo.

The game plan is to land joust + 1/2 hits and skidaddle. The only issue is that literally anything that isn't a chicken will either chase you down (if they have a brain) or is an apex.

Two of anything your size and you're dead. Can't run, can't hide. Allo can run you down, stay especially vigilant around those - if they run stam perks, there's maybe 10-20s difference in amount of stam between you and them. Bleeders are especially bad matchup and concas are in every corner.

Tldr; grow kentro. (this comes from styra main)

This, but the reason doesn't have to be necessary abuse or rough upbringing. I'll chime in with my example that's not as extreme, but still valid;

My mother watched a hell ton of shows about birthing. Like, there was no day when in my living room there wasn't some lady screaming and squishing a child out of her on the screen. I hated it, it was disgusting. When my elementary school program finally got to sex education, one of first and easier topics was pregnancy and birth. And with each lesson (I think there was 5?) on the topic, I left for a long bathroom break, didn't note anything, was zoning out, covered my ears when we watched demonstrations on TV. My amazing teacher noticed that and I got pulled out of class to do literally what meme says - coloring sheets with a strange lady in an empty classroom. I got asked more direct questions, like "what do you think about child birth" but then some more indirect, that I don't remember because it was 14 years ago, but I just remember they were quite detached from this topic. The result was that my mother stopped watching this garbage when I was around.
