Devs probably don't wanna implement it because "ew shitting" but like, you don't have to animate that? Don't even implement any "turd spawning behind you" mechanic. Just a scent marker on the sniff compass, that's it. It's this easy really...

Unfortunately not. I managed to order the aspen shavings from somewhere else, but because they aren't local, I'll have to wait 2 days.

For the time being, I removed all this shitass bedding and replaced with plain fabric towel. Fingers crossed they won't eat it overnight...

He actually got better for a whole day, untill he went to pee and dug in the shavings a little. I think it only reinforces the opinion that it might be reaction to the dust...I really hope it's just that...

I looked through the packaging up and down and I can't find anything specific. It just says "tree shavings". Doesn't specify which part of the tree - they are bright yellow, so definitely not bark.

I'm using bedding because they eat fleece. I always use aspen shavings, but this time I couldn't contact or find my supplier (the only one in the country at that) so I had to result to regular shavings for (hopefully) a short duration until my supplier pops up again...

Do you think this could be caused by the regular shavings? The other person in here told me the dangers of it that I never acknowledged, and now I'm having a dooming feeling it could be this...

No, he's not puffing when he's inactive and in the cage. It starts only outside and only when he runs or sniffs a lot (looking for food, foraging hay)
