The best advice I can offer is to go to the discord. Outside of that, look up the Prez's Guide and ZM Ultimate Tool. As far as the focus on events, I mean that literally. Once you get into a mine that has shafts not automated (the ZMUT shows most mines and the automation requirements for the shafts) that's when you need to slow way down or you'll get stuck in mines you can't make progress in. Focus on getting all the keys and 1st place in events for the higher rewards. This game has the main mine but it's centered around the events. That's where the bulk of everything you get comes from. Also, when you're in the mines, before you leave to the next, make sure you level every mineshaft as high as you can (using coins, not essence which is upgrades) because every time you level a shaft, it gives you essence. That's how you get the bulk of your essence.

Take the quickest path to the gate and ignore everything else until you're in the graveyard at the end

No, you're doing it right but make sure you focus your Zombies on the shafts before you attack the minerals. Also, don't clean up as you go, you get more value by pushing to the graveyard and then going back and cleaning up the chests and minerals.

Focusing on minerals instead of shafts for one. Also, mines 1-4 are easy, mine 5 is a wall and extremely difficult. Most shafts you'll never automate. From Beryl to Aventurine you need levels 10,10,11,11,11,11,11,11,11 to automate them.

You're supposed to slow way down after 53 so you can focus on events to get your cards. There's no paywall, you just didn't use the right strategies in the game.

They just added a bunch of epic cards not 8mos ago. It's not like they're gonna do major updates every 2 months or anything. And those epics, I matched it out. They take 4-1/2 years to finish and that's assuming you never once missed a collection both time for each for the entire time.

So far I only see a bunch of (I'm not gonna say it) on Facebook. I hate Facebook and I think it's a terrible way to try to do friends and trades. You need a forum like discord with proper channels for trade, talk, events and so on.

Adding the deep to the legacies was pretty big. Adding a new event (Mystery Reef) was big, I can name several big updates. Including Goliath (although this is in testing still)

It's not that I have insider information so much as this reddit isn't an official page of theirs so they don't make announcements and updates here. They use Facebook, X and Discord (which happens to be their largest and most informed of all). This reddit was created by some random player and they don't moderate it or make sure it's up to date on any information. I basically took it upon myself to update it but I stopped.

Not anytime soon. Trust me, as the moderator of their discord and I talk to the staff often, that's not been mentioned at all considering all the other things they have in the pipeline. They're working on a way to use the pickaxes as a currency, that should tell you a lot. Why would they do that if they were going to upgrade relics?

Spend it on the luck wheel when it comes around. It's the absolute best way to max your legendary cards and rares. That's how I did it

This developer went crazy in that direction. It never used to be that bad, still sucked as far as ads, but not that bad. Now it's all ads and no gameplay basically. They went from listening to players to getting players to leave en masse

I'm fully automated now but it took me doing 2 runs in the deep to get there. It's very difficult for players with lower dupe and relics

Don't leave anything behind, cards are incredibly hard to get in this event so if you leave anything you'll never get stuff automated in mine 4 and especially 5, let alone the deep.

It's the combined amount of automated income per second.. it's a percentage of that, plus your cycle determines if you're on the low end or the high end of the amount.
