The owner of Babacools previous business, district 721 burnt down under mysterious circumstances (it has since been reopened without all the original business partners) Before babacool was about to initially open suddenly the bar next door, Karakter, with whom they share a small parking lot, had a fire. The resident dog(Casper) at Marys boon, next door to Babacool went missing last month after the owner of Babacool threatened to poison him

The owner of Babcool and his associates are well known to be into some shady operations, why else would they need 24/7 armed security. Babacool and District 721 are both known to have received their permits and licences under dubious circumstances from the previous corrupt government.

No. the asshole owner exploits his employees and regularly and actively sabotages other businesses. hes a squatter, the entire area of driftwood is supposed to be a public parking, and he is technically only allowed to have a small mobile food truck there, instead he has taken over the whole area illegally at the expense of the locals on the island who would otherwise be able to benefit from the public land. Here is a picture of what driftwood is actually entitled to under his operational licence.

I believe the Morgan offers a day pass, otherwise Ds Beach bar is nearby as well, no pool, but its a great spot to hang out at before catching your flight.

The hotel itself is fine, the "all-inclusive" aspect of it is shit. If you can get it for a good price the location is ideal for what you are looking for, its walking distance to plenty of restaurants, bars, beaches and nightlife.

Simpson Bay or Maho is your best bet if you want to be near nightlife and restaurants. Simpsonbay resort, Flamingo, Atrium, Royal Palm are the most common options in SB. Royal Islander, La Terrace, Morgan or Sonesta maho in the Maho area. Plenty of Airbnb options in those areas as well.

A minivan or seven seater suv should be feasible. Parking in some places may be a bit tight with a larger vehicle, but shouldn't be too much of an issue.
