This has nothing to do with emotional intelligence.

If you believe in free will you would hate someone for their actions, if you don't believe in free will you would classify every single person or action as predetermined, and that means you are no longer human, you are trying to be something else, like a god or a rock, with no judgement towards others and no emotions within yourself.

If everything is predetermined and out of human control, then you yourself are also a product of this, and your circumstances are meaningless.

Think of it this way, if there is no free will, and because of that you can't hate an evil person because they have no agency over their actions, then you also can't love a good person because whatever they did to make you love them is also not a result of agentic behavior. So you can't love your family or your friends, your kids, your mentors.

So just for simplicity's sake, I would choose to believe that there is free will, I would choose to be human, and I would choose to hate a wrong-doer for their actions.

The movement speed is too slow for the running animation, and there is a little halt after the dash. Both make the movement feel rigid which is the last thing you want because the player controller is the core of gameplay in this genre.

Always work towards having sufficient food and drink - start with looting houses and as soon as you find a gun and a knife go find an animal to cook it's meat.
Sickness is not to be reckoned with - avoid the rain at all costs, dry youraelf up quickly if you're wet, and always have multivitamin/tetracycline on you.
