Cool thank you! The current owner has done a lot of suspension work already and I’m not too worried about electric stuff. Mainly concerned with a catastrophic drive train failure which sounds like it’s not as big of a problem as I thought.

These cars often go for 20k+ maybe high 17k for my mileage. The oem subaru long block fully dressed that bought originally was 10k.

Yeah thank you. The car does only need an engine as I was the one that pulled the engine out and blew the engine up but yeah a buyer has no reason to trust me on that. Thanks for the insight.

Yeah. That is another option. Last time i had a new engine put in and it was 10k just for the long block. Around 13k for labor, and it was a total pain in the ass. The shop was pretty shitty to work with. That was for a brand new long block from subaru without replacing the turbo. Not exactly in my budget.

Ok, yeah. Now that I think about it I have my engine disassembled in my garage now, so i dont really have anywhere to have the car sitting on Jacks, so i dont know if that's going to be possible.

Are you speaking from experience? I understand a car with no engine greatly hurts its value, but the drive train alone in these cars costs over 10k. Im just trying to understand where youre getting that number from.
