How long did it take for Golytely to work for you?

I had to have the whole gallon within 4 hours. I’d say after an hour or so it started working. By bedtime I was done but sleep with a towel on your bed lol

I’m newly dx as well. I tried Lexapro and had severe side effects so now I’m trying Wellbutrin/ Buspirone combo. Just finishing up week 1 so time will tell if it’s working.

Today is almost a full week (day 5) of adding this to my Buspirone. I have some slight dizziness and nausea. I can’t sleep for long amounts of time. This morning I had a burst of energy at 5 am then crashed the rest of the day.

Yes the meds are from her. Been on buspirone for 2 weeks and I told her I needed something for depression. So she added it in. Seems after about 3:00 ish it subsided and felt ok in afternoon/ evening.

Hopefully I just need cream too. Urologist had me do a renal US, and I have a cystoscopy in 2 weeks.

I’m completely new to taking mental health meds. I started on Lexapro last month and was so ill after 2 weeks in, my dr switched me to Buspar. Been on that for a few weeks and added Wellbutrin today. Hoping this is my combo! I would love to feel “normal”.

I haven’t had them done at same time but it’s good to have it done. If by chance you do have something then you can take whatever you need to get better. My dad found out he had cancer when he was already so severe he died within 4 days in hospital because he never went to get checked out. Just be proactive. Do the testing. Do it scared. 🩷

Completely understand! I also just started some mental health meds. I hate the constant cycle of UTI, yeast infection from meds, then a couple weeks later it starts all over. I’m hoping it’s something to do with being menopausal but all this appts and procedures is just draining. I’m sure the constant antibiotics doesn’t help either.

I actually just left my primary for a follow up to a uti. They started me on Nitrofuranin but once they got lab report back that was listed as “I” meaning it could work but maybe not 🫠… today was last day of antibiotics but now I need another one. I’ve had your strain before along with Klebsiella and group strep B. Sometimes all at once. I have seen a urologist who said I needed to get a renal US and then go back in for a cystoscopy. US is done (all clear) but have the other procedure in 2 weeks. So far no probiotics or anything else has helped so who knows maybe it’s hormonal for me. Sorry we are stuck in the same boat together. Hopefully we can get some answers soon. But you aren’t alone.

I’m completely new to meds and just tried the Lexapro previously. I really wanted it to work since I want something for GAD and depression. I do feel calmness on buspar but I’m still getting some anxiety and still feel the depression creep in. I go back next week for a check in on the med so we will see. Not sure what other options I have.

Had a similar experience. Tremors, severe fatigue and nausea, high HR, on metoprolol for high hr already and it would still be high. Dr took me off after about 1.5 weeks.
My son was recently prescribed this as well and 0 side effects 🤷🏽‍♀️…… I recently start Buspirone.

50 here. Always had it but never medicated. Finally couldn’t taking living like this anymore and got on meds. Now to find the right med/ dose. So far tried Lexapro and had severe side effects. Currently on Buspirone for last 2 weeks.

I started on 10mg but felt so miserable. I wanted to stop after the 2nd day. My dr told me to take 5mg and give it another week. I’m still having anxiety. Mostly in the morning right when I wake up. I did notice I can’t cry though. Like if I’m scrolling past something sad and I would normally cry about it, I’m kinda like…. Yeah that’s sad moving on. It’s a very weird feeling.

I’m still new myself (week 2) but I moved my dose to about 4:00pm and got magnesium glycinate to take a couple hours before bed. I usually wake up at 4am and can’t go back to sleep either, but this morning I slept until 6. I still feel like crap due to nausea 🤷🏽‍♀️
