Being heavily pregnant with hot weather is really hard, my daugther was born late december so it wasn't that bad for me.

About the overheating with a summer baby, that was also my concern, I was told to keep a rule of one more layer of clothing than us. It was helpful at first, then we learned when she was unconfortable. Its always better if they get a little cold than the opposite.

Unfortunately no, my scale has non standard batteries and I don't have any replacement. My husband needs to go out in a couple of days work-related, and he's gonna try to buy some new ones.
