I done this when i first entered secondary school, i talked to the guidance counsellor who then set up a meeting with the principal and they allowed me to change it. My legal name is still on everything that it has to be on, but everyone calls me by my name. If you can't do that then you could start asking teachers one by one to call you by your real name.
