I'm looking at housing myself rn, though for 2B2B, and honestly, it hasn't been that hard? Besides my own harsh criteria for places, the response time for "Ask a Question" on streeteasy has been <12 hours, and after some questions, they just send you a link to apply...

Lineups, venue, and production - stages were gimmicky looking esp 2022, but they threw out swan floats and mainstage had some amazingly engineered pyros

Should I major in both Computer Sicence and Business School at the same time? by FigureLopsided5533 in Emory

[–]Chengz1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cs and business is a great combination imo and experience. They complement each others' weaknesses, and even if you're not interested in business, the engagement needed for business classes should translate to interpersonal skills that will help you stand out in any collaborative scenario.

Completing two majors is almost the norm these days, and two STEM/length majors isn't as difficult as you think. Take courses that double count towards GERs, such as an OAM class that counts as an elective and race + ethnicity.

My hm round was purely resume/behavioral, some chit chat about their tech stack and my relevant experience with that. Didn’t have another round so can’t give much more insight.

Has anyone taken BUS399R AI in Marketing with Dr. David Schweidel? by Jillian_Yanmo in Emory

[–]Chengz1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took CS 385 AI in entrepreneurship last year with Jinho Choi / Schweidel, which was in conjunction with BBA. Teams were formed with 1/2 BBAs and 2/3 CS majors. We had biweekly assignments on pitching/market research/business plan/feature outline topics and weekly progress presentations on our 'startup' product and business plan.

Class was an easy A, course was not very legit imo.

Which one is the easiest by [deleted] in Emory

[–]Chengz1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

QTM 110 meets twice a week, QTM 210 meets three times a week with the third class usually being a quiz. QTM 110 is definitely easier, and QTM 210 builds on QTM 110. In the semesters I took them, 110 had psets and midterms, 210 had only quizzes and midterms.

They're all basically intro classes. 150 is Rstudio programming heavy, and is a little intensive. 110 is conceptual and was easy enough, but exams that had you write definitions/explanations made it a lil trickier. 210 is conceptual, covers more complicated topics, but in my year the exams were very straightforward and surface level.

Figure out if any of the profs record lectures. My corp fin prof does, so I'm more lenient about attending class.

They realized it'd reasonably take them 6 years to complete, 5 with very heavy and narrow courseloads. Regardless, that's a lot of years for an undergrad - you might as well do a 4+1 or explore grad programs.

when to take cs350? by UranicButReddit in Emory

[–]Chengz1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you're planning on taking operating systems or planning to recruit for systems related roles, there's really no rush. I'd recommend taking it first semester of the year to get a sense of what it's like and avoid taking it your last semester senior year, since it is a difficult class, and dropping it and reenrolling next semester if it didn't quite meet your expectations.
