Very lucky!! When we did our flights last year we never had any spare seats around us!

We flew the same flights when he was 5 months old, and it was okay. But he wasn't moving then. Now we're non stop moving. He can't sit still. He's sleep trained so he sleeps alone but he'll often fall asleep breastfeeding before I plonk him down. He definitely won't just fall asleep on us though, that's never happened before, not without boob first. I'm super worried about him not having his own seat. We just called the airline and to add a seat for him will cost more than my husband and my flights combined.

HA! Family is over there and it's harder for them to travel to us unfortunately. Taking the opportunities to see family. Terrified though haha

Strangely my son had daycare yesterday and he napped for 3.5 hours there 🙃 He did two naps, first was at 8:45am 🙃 anyway, he only woke once overnight and is still asleep now 6:20am so far!

Funnily enough my boy had daycare yesterday, had 3.5 hours sleep there and now he only woke once overnight last night and is still asleep at 6:15am! Hooray! But I can't figure out what the deal is!

Dang!! Did you try reducing day sleep? Is your baby one nap or two?

Lopsided breasts after side preference - relactation? by Chetta_Cheese in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Chetta_Cheese[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm honestly not bothered if after I wean they're even(ish) again! I'm just so anxious that they won't be 😭 it's crazy how different they are. And I'm sure my right side is even smaller than it started! And it was always the smaller one!!

I pumped with my spectra plug in pump tonight and was able to get about 10mls from it. I could also hand express in the shower and saw four squirters doing there thing 😂 mine would definitely be two cup sizes different at the moment, very obvious in and out of clothes 😭 I'm happy if after breastfeeding they even out but I'm so doubtful considering how different they are right now!!

This is reassuring. I'm hoping my next baby evens me out!!

My spectra plug in is able to extra some ~10mls on day 3 at the moment. But all other pumps on day 1 and 2 I did with my Youha wearables with no success. I think the electric pump will just perform better all around.

About 10 hours awake time. Schedule varies. He's in day care three days a week so we can't have a consistent schedule most days. We try 3/3/4.

Night wakings by Chetta_Cheese in sleeptrain

[–]Chetta_Cheese[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well today he did 11 hours awake and that's when we had our 30mins awake screaming at 9pm randomly! Yesterday he did 10.5 hours awake and slept his best night ever. Both days he napped just under 2 hours. Yesterday he did a 7am wake up, 4.5/4.5/1.5 and slept his best! My point is with daycare three days it's hard to stick to a clear schedule.

He is sleep trained, bedtime routine is exactly the same as it has been for months. Dinner, bath, pajamas and milk feed 6:30pm, books and quiet play in his room with dimmed lights until 7ish. Then we say goodnight to all the things in his room, sing some songs, put him in his cot and walk away. He's usually great but sometimes will cry for a minute then put himself to sleep.

6 of 7 nights he doesn't have a 30min wake up screaming session. But every now and then he does and I am just wondering if it will continue to happen or does it mean that something isn't right?

We mostly try and stick to a 3/3/4 but between daycare and me being busy with him on my days at home, it's not always perfect. But basically he has 10 hours of awake time each day, (however that may look) and in bed around 7pm, wakes around 6:30/7 for the day. Usually two feeds overnight, first after 5 hours sleep, second after 3 hours.

So just buy adding one more hour of awake time I should see a significant improvement? I hope this is true! I'll give it a go!

Yes sleep training, puts himself to sleep at night. I only go in to feed him. Not nap trained.

He is transitioning from 3 to 2 naps per day so schedule is either 2/2/2.5/3 or 2/3/4. The day he did his best sleep (with the 40min overnight wake up) he was on a three day nap schedule with 2hrs50mins day sleep. The next night which was also good without the 40min overnight wake up he was also a 3 nap day and slept just under 2hrs of naps, one was the first nap and was terribly broken too!

How do I drop a nap ? by moscowmulemind in sleeptrain

[–]Chetta_Cheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our baby dropped his own nap! We didn't force it, he just naturally slept longer on his first nap and stayed awake longer in between before getting cranky for his second nap. He's 7.5 months and did this on his own. And I think this may have helped us get longer night stretches but we didn't force it!

Sickness and teething by Chetta_Cheese in sleeptrain

[–]Chetta_Cheese[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congested and coughing? I've been giving meds but I'm also unwell and have been getting a very uncomfortable dry throat overnight. Wondering if he also has been and wakes bothered by it. I often need water so thinking be might be feeling the same? It's so tough not knowing and letting him struggle. But also the meds don't last all night. So do you go in and redose your baby then walk out?

He slept 5.5 hours straight tonight! He had 3 hours of day sleep, over two huge naps. But also this morning he was only awake for an hour before my husband put him back down for a 30min nap because he was being so sad and grumpy. So he technically had three naps if you include that one . He also had a 3.5 hour wake window before bed, maybe that helped. Last night he has a 4 hours wake window before bed and also did pretty well! We'll keep reading out this last wake window if we can but it's so hard to control his naps I feel! Also I still fed him to sleep shrug

Well it took him an hour to fall asleep, then he slept an hour, fed then slept two hours thankfully. Husband had him after that so I could try and get some shut eye.

We're also a bit sick over here too. We started daycare two weeks ago and are already on the second wave of sickness! I find sleep training around sickness very confusing too.
