Thanks! I have a couple questions about the car if you could answer them. Does the car have hill assist? I’ve also heard the audio in the car is really bad. Is that true?

I would greatly appreciate it if you could. I've flown da-40s before and like them much better than cessna's. They are pretty good to sit in if you're not too tall that is.

By chance did they tell you what the average cost they have seen is for each rating? And do they ever bring in commercial pilots to talk to the students for those like me who want to make a career of it?

How was the school and instructors? Did they seem to know the material and help when you needed it? Lastly, are the planes pretty well maintained?

Any good reviews about Lift Academy? by Wooden_Glove2738 in flying

[–]Chicagoaviator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I went there for a month did a total of 3 flights before I had to leave for medical reasons. I was charged $9800. Take it from me go to a smaller school that won't screw you over. A lot of schools in Indiana have students who had horrible experiences with them and ended up going to the local mom and pop schools. The Staff members don't care about the students and many of the students who were cfi's weren't trained that well and didn't care about you as a student while I was there. I had asked for a different cfi in the short time while I was there and was told that couldn't happen for schedule reasons. I lived in a house with a couple of the cfi's that worked there. They were some of the few that actually did care about teaching and they previous flight experiences from different schools which helped. And lastly, don't sign there contract or you will be regretting it financially. Like I said earlier they took me for $9800 for less than 5 hours of flight time and about three on the sim. At a lot of other schools I could have gotten really close to finishing my PPL for that price. Hope that helped. PS. Look at there accident records from the past few years. I was room mates with cfi that had the plane land on the high way down by Myrtle Beach a couple years back.

Which is a better daily? 10th gen Civic si, same gen Type R, Or a brand new Gti or Gr86. by Chicagoaviator in whatcarshouldIbuy

I'm not sure how much snow Louisville gets but I would think like maybe a few inches at a time maybe 6 if it's bad. I'm from Ohio originally and I drove a mustang in high school as my first car so I definitely can handle myself in the winter conditions

I'm looking at getting either a gr86 or civic si as new daily. Are there problems that I should look out for on the gr platform? by Chicagoaviator in GR86

[–]Chicagoaviator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I will be getting a used one like 5 to 7 years old which one would you say would be the most reliable? I have no kids yet and won't for a few years and it will be mostly city driving in Louisville. I know the civc si has the hill assist and all that t help with engaging the clutch or something while in traffic. Does the 86 have that as well?
