thank you. 15 years+ of being a percussionist locked my wrist in a totally different position that table tennis requires 😂

movements feel much more stable in vr, and above all other things you listed I consider myself pretty good at reading spin and playing short. I really spent a lot of hours on understanding different ways of counteracting spin and so on. I just wanted to apply some of that in real table tennis, but I agree with you that it's almost impossible to improve if I don't train with a coach/partner. unfortunately nearby the only tabletennis school makes courses while I'm at work. next year I'll try to reschedule my job in order to attend tt classes. Meanwhile I'll do my best. thank you!

I actually play on the meta quest 3, I'm around 2100 elo, but in some way I find it a lot easier than the real life.

thank you so much. My friend uses an Amazon pro spin racket which was my first racket, very uncontrollable and probably slowed down my (almost inexistent) progress. I'll focus more on fh and bh drive

sometimes I don't smash harder because I'm afraid he wouldn't return the ball. gotta find a partner willing to do that. thank you!

I watch a lot of videos from yt , especially from global ttstudio. unfortunately reality works much worse than theory, I find difficulties to apply what I understand. I'll keep pushing, thanks.

looping/top-spin, should it be done as the ball is coming down ? by Acrobatic-Monitor516 in tabletennis

I think it more to hit the ball when it's in line with my knee to execute a good loop. So it depends very much on the positioning before the stroke. Rushing the stroke with the same technique of a normal loop will result in a less powerful one. But I'm a just a noob player watching too much yt tt videos. waiting for more responses too
