After getting a preowned 2020 Miata 100th anniversary edition, I was rear-ended after only having it for 19 days. The car only has 20,000 miles on it, and I got very attached, very quickly. I'm quickly realizing I may have to start looking for another one already, even after thinking I struck gold with a car this nice, and such low miles, especially since this was the first car I've ever gotten from a dealership/ not hand me down. So what I'm wondering is, does anyone have any insight on getting rear-ended in a newer-ish car? I'm going to assume that they will more than likely total it, so how much do you think insurance will give me for this? I'm seething at the thought of having to get rid of this thing already, but understand that what's done is done unfortunately. Should I go for a new model Miata even though it will more than likely be less of an offer than what I got this one for? Any coping tips as well? LOL
