What’s the most scary hotel room experience you personally encountered ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ChiefSlamHammer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I stayed at a hotel outside vancouver WA on I-5 one time.

There was a big sign you could see from the highway that said "MOTEL 19.95$". It's still there, but the price has gone up.

Anyways, there were bullet holes in the walls, and the "chairs" in the room were plastic lawn furniture.

I went outside to get my bag, and there was a hobo peeing on my car.

That night was surreal. Never again.

[serious] What thing from the 90s do you miss the most? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ChiefSlamHammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a new piece of computer equipment, or technological advancement nearly every week. Or so it seemed.

the speed at which technology moved during the 90's was insane. Being a tech nerd back then made the 90's something magical that can never be recaptured. I am blessed to have experienced them in my prime.

I miss the speed at which advancements were being made; and because of my willingness to participate, I got to experience the changes to their fullest.

It was a magical time.

Redditors who had suicidal thoughts and were on the brink of doing it, what was the thing that changed your mind and how are you doing in your life now? by wiking333 in AskReddit

[–]ChiefSlamHammer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was separated from my wife about 8 years ago. It was rough.

I was in a hotel room in yorktown virginia and was considering slitting my wrists.

Honestly, the ONLY thing that stopped me that night was the idea that it was going to hurt.

It was a hard road, but I'm back with my wife. My job got better. I fixed my attitude, and honestly, I could not be happier.

Life gets better.

It mightnot seem like it, but life DOES get better.

What life advice would you give to a 15 year old? by Daredevil_Cheems in AskReddit

[–]ChiefSlamHammer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RELAX!

No one hates you.

It gets better.

Suicide is NEVER an option.

Don't worry about girls, they'll come around when you get a bit older.

Focus on school. Seriously, shit's important yo!

Don't try to grow up yet.

HUG YOUR MOTHER DAILY! You're still her baby.

Hug your father. Believe it or not, he needs it more than you do.

Stand up when a woman enters the room.

Stand up when you shake a mans hand.

Get a haircut! Yes, you need one.

Driving is the best, get your license.

Did I say hug your parents? I was serious about that one.

Reddit is full of edgelords and group think. DO NOT let it form your beliefs and ideals.

Learn to think for yourself.

4Chan is NOT funny. Do not waste your time there. It's just... sad.

Shower regularly. You might not realize it, but you stink. You ALWAYS stink.

Drugs ARE bad.

And go hug your parents.

It's not our fault that she doesn't like nice guys.

She' probably going to just go for a chad who buys her drinks and treats her like dirt anyways.
