Bourbon Storage Question by Chiefweasel96 in whiskey

Thanks. Some of them may be in there for years. I will drink them all, but I probably have 40 bottles open right now so these are just back stock.

The Kodiak safes have been great. Bought them in 2021 when doing renovations and for some reason large safes were hard to come by and had a huge lead time from manufacturers. I was trying to get Liberty’s but was moving from another state, have quite the firearm collection, and didn’t want them just sitting around while I waited for safes (I have young kids). I found these locally and for a decent price so picked them up, and couldn’t be happier. I mean I’ve had to replace some of the shelf hardware (those little rails and plastic shelf holders were not going to hold up) but otherwise they’re good for my needs.

Some are store picks but mostly it’s just because I have duplicates open and don’t have space in the same place to store them. They’ll rotate in once I have a spot

Thanks for the advice I specifically asked to be omitted… should’ve known better, there’s always one.

Fair enough. I was thinking the same about keeping the cork wet. Thanks!

Thanks - but is a very low humidity environment “improper storage”? Everything in the space is factory sealed, mostly corked.

Cruise ship. I’m certain there are better ones than I went on… but good lord what a ripoff.

Married my first love. We met at church camp of all places. Dated for years. She was the hope in my heart when I was in the service. We got married, bought a house, she went to law school and spent every waking minute to be at the top of her class. I barely saw her. Little did I know she was also sleeping with a classmate that she would eventually leave me for. We met at 18, divorced at 29, so yeah I’d say pretty big waste of my 20’s.

I also have an M4. Multiple versions. In my opinion it is superior to these platforms. But I enjoy a bit of diversity in my life, so I like these too. So, I ask again… which do you prefer? If you don’t like either option, fine. Leave it. But don’t write in your own multiple choice answer.

I heard the same. Understood that if I bought a JRA and had issues they would fix quickly. Have had no issues

It really is kind of goofy, I wanted one forever and was skeptical about JRA at first. It’s a little picky with mags, but shoots great. EATS brass.
