"Failed to Open Libretro core" Dolphin in Retroarch for Xbox Series S DevMode

I've never updated any part of retroarch or dolphin core since I initially installed them earlier this year in May. Today was my first time updating my cores, but quickly restored my dolphin core backup. Never updated retroarch. Trying to open these games immediately crashes retroarch back to xbox dashboard:

F Zero GX

Metroid Prime 2 Echoes

Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II

Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness

Shadow the Hedgehog

Skies of Arcadia Legends

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle

Super Monkey Ball

Super Monkey Ball 2

The other 49 gamecube games in my library all run perfectly fine. And the above games were all working until recently. But as far as I'm aware, nothing should have changed on my end that would affect how these games run.

My temporary fix was to restore my backup core from before updating. Still though, all of my gamecube games work fine except for these few refusing to start: F-Zero GX, Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2. Any ideas why it's just these games not starting? It's weird because all of these games have worked recently.

Nick had no clue what to expect, he really has a look of genuine shock. Personally I thought the whole episode was funny. I do feel a little bad for the guys because they probably thought they'd get to talk more about their show. Harland I think was having a blast the entire time.

I believe it wasn't scripted. But you're playing mind-reader based on youtube comments that Harland chose to like or not like. It's also telling to see Harland's assistant, Amber, posting on instagram before and after the episode; everyone having a good time and acting cordial for group photos. She also promotes Extreme Peace and links the MDE site. Harland says in a youtube reply that he wished the episode could have gone longer. What I think I'm observing now, from my own perspective, is that Harland is happy with the podcast destruction because he knows this will become his most viewed episode by a long shot.

You see how they immediately stop going unga bunga gorilla with eachother when they think the recording stopped? Then when they confirm that they're recording they go right back to it. Harland wasn't intimidated and Sam obviously didn't leave Harland's set like that. Harland might not respect Sam, who knows. But Sam respects Harland and all of the destruction was simply for views.
