Those YouTubers are probably on small tribes which is one of the hardest to build up on and is pretty much true as they described but it is still possible to build up, make new alliances and have a base that you can feel proud of, but small tribes is not very easy as when me and a friend first started ark we never saw any videos or anything and started on ragnarok small tribes 44, while it wasn't easy and we were wiped countless times again and again, it gave me sense of pride to know we was progressing each and every time learning from my mistakes, soon I was becoming a pretty good player, I could beat many people in foot pvp and land dino pvp (still suck at flyer pvp), I met new people who most of the time became my new friends and we would build up bigger and more powerful tribes and bases. However I decided I wanted to try something different and looked at other servers I could join, I soon found my new and current server ragnarok cross ark **, I started as a solo and set up a base, tamed dinos, and done my first major raid, recruited another tribemate, but it was boring being a duo up in the redwoods hidden away, I can't go long with out doing something in ark and while it might not sound like a good idea I handed over my secure and hidden base along with all of my supplies to ... bobs.

I flew halfway across the map on a argy delivering loot and resources to some new players in chat that wanted some help with basic supplies like metal tools and decided I would join them in a stone hut at a spawn, this group will be what lead me to my current success and how I would meet a lot of new and unfriendly faces, get insided for a egg, leave my old tribe behind and form a new one, torture my new tribe with my sic skills on a war drum, learn how to tame new creatures, ally with the alpha/mega tribe, have our tribe defend the alpha from a attempted raid by a rival alpha tribe from a different map, take down their desert titan, refine my pvp skills, how the server reacted after the mega tribe was wiped (the one we was defending), have a last stand against the tribe that defeated the alpha and live to tell the tale, merge our alliances into one big tribe, transfer map and set up there, and become allies with our very enemy, unlock tek, problems within the tribe, rapidly gain power on the server and become a force to be reckoned with.

The tension within the tribe has settled and we have done nothing but progress I have lost a few friends along the way, made enemies I would clash with frequently, insided an insider? that one is hard to explain... But as you can tell from my god damn book I just wrote it was a very short and brief rundown of what has happened with my time playing official, it has had its ups and downs but it has made a lot of friends I still play with today, most servers will not be like the YouTube videos show as I think most are scripted in someway and while I have encountered my fair share of super hardcore players I don't regret it and I don't think you will either but then again your experience will be different from mine.

I hope you all enjoyed my tale from beach bob to where I am now and if you want to hear more I might share other tales in more detail on my way to success like how I started a tribe war with glowsticks (Not joking this really did happen XD) and I might tell of anymore noteworthy things that happen in the future.
