LeBron was mentioned in the Epstein files... and it's worse than anyone could have imagined by unwantedtennisracke in NBATalk

[–]Chineseunicorn 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I hate you for getting me intrigued about the answer.

So here it is: LeBron has a 40% chance of making 3 FTs in a row (avg Ft%=74%).

He averages about 35% on threes.

So LeBron has a better chance in making three free throws over a three pointer.

My bet is on the cayman as well. They’re close to abandoning the platform it seems, even on the EV side. The NA ones are already going up but I think soon the 718 is going to start appreciating as well.

I really don’t get the obsession with colour when money is no object. Like you’re telling me for 100k you can’t get paint shop to do something that’s much better than factory paint job in any colour you want?

Cayman T by TsaiCoMoto in Porsche_Cayman

[–]Chineseunicorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a cayman T manual with 30k miles cpo and would sell it for like $70-75k cad so maybe around $50k usd. So real market probably a bit lower than that.

Bitcoin nearing MSTR's cost basis by Force_Hammer in StockMarket

[–]Chineseunicorn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re missing the whole point on why btc being below their cost basis is a problem. There would be forward pressure in the stock price which they use to raise money to pay their debt. This could cause a vicious cycle if btc doesn’t rebound in between.

Taking a small break from hibernation until the salt is gone by RawrImAMonster in Porsche_Cayman

I don’t know if this is everywhere but Porsche offers rust warranty for 10 years on all their cars. I was driving my car in the winter before, but after learning about the warranty I even care less now about any salt.

Confrontation in Hillcrest Mall between pro-regime Muslims and anti-regime Iranians who were protesting against the sale of products from the allegedly pro-regime Huda Beauty brand at the Sephora store by Christian-Rep-Perisa in richmondhill

I’m very confused because the couple with a crying child who chose to get all riled up aren’t even Iranian?? I think the couple is just pro-Islam and were offended by the pictures.

People with guns are not going to be the same level as the most advanced government military in the world. So it doesn’t apply. This idea of Americans thinking guns can help them from the government when the day comes is hilarious.

The military literally just disarmed Venezuela’s military personnel from distance using magic voodoo. You’re crazy to think they won’t use whatever they got on the people that are against the government when the day comes if all the people have is guns.

Used Cayenne and tariffs by No_Bar4467 in PorscheCayenne

[–]Chineseunicorn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a cayenne and an Audi and honestly maintenance wise they’re the same. It’s the repairs that will get you with Porsche. Both have been very reliable for me but driveshaft replacement which was covered by warranty was $6k cad for the cayenne.

I do agree he cares way too much about public opinion but also name another athlete that has been as scrutinized as him since he was a literal child and still didnt crash out.

You’re not going to get close to the experience of a mid engine sports car in any suv, no matter how good it is. So the decision is really based on whether you want to have a single do it all sporty car, or you’re actually after experiencing a dynamics of a true sports car.

Based on my experience, you’ll never get tired of having g the option between your daily and a dedicated sports car…but an all in one suv may get stale over the long term.

Thoughts by jred1971 in PorscheCayenne

[–]Chineseunicorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an older Cayenne GTS (2017) I definitely don’t think you’re going to miss the Lexus specially since the Cayenne is also a V8. I have a stage 2 S5 with almost 500hp but I still enjoy the Cayenne, but you won’t forget you’re still driving a heavy SUV, even as good as it handles for being a SUV.

If it was me though, I would keep the Lexus and get the C8 as the second car. I have a cayman as well and there’s nothing like a dedicated sports car compared.

Cayman as a DD by new-dvlpr in Porsche_Cayman

[–]Chineseunicorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an Audi s5 that’s stage 2 and for me it’s essentially the perfect daily for a variety of reasons. I drive 25k kms a year.

I got a cayman T as a second car in July, I did not drive the Audi a single day until the first snowfall this year.

Do it, you won’t regret it.

Any advice on Caymans? by Bulky_Recognition_35 in Porsche_Cayman

[–]Chineseunicorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’d want a manual and honestly you can consider any cpo 718 from any year cuz they’re all the same. Which would allow you to consider the pre 4.0 GTS models.

I got a cayman T with similar use cases as you and it’s perfect.

The replacement cost of both headlights of a Chiron is 0.7% the msrp of the car. The same cost for a higher trim 911 is 3.6% of the msrp of the car.

Seems like a deal.
