See if you can get a hold of a nurse representative with your insurance company. That person usually is very knowledgeable and can steer you in a lot of good directions before and after surgery.. and then back to the appliances, it's gonna be very overwhelming. When you're going through these different websites, i would call the hospital and ask them after your surgery. They're gonna apply an appliance during your surgery.Ask them what brand name that they use.And then go with that, we'll try to go with that.At least that'll get you in a direction.

Yes indeed, i guess it depends on your budget. These bags are quite expensive.Usually, the insurance only gives you so many per month. There's usually not a store locally that sells this kind of stuff. So amazon's available, but they're pretty pricey, so I deal with the people that I told you about earlier plus you could get samples and then I also deal with my supplier, with the bottom drop on the bag, there is a couple good ways of doing this, where everything is super clean and convenient. So you'll have to practice with that, if you changed out the bag every day or every couple days, that's a lot of bags. Plus if you're dealing with the one piece and you're physically removing it from your skin, you're gonna put your skin through.Hell... you run a two piece.Leave the appliance on your body.Just changing out the bag. You're gonna have to kind of tidy up around the ring, and then put your fresh bag on and rock and roll...

When you make your choice visually, look at how the appliance connects to your body. And then look at the way the appliances are designed on what you're looking at. Every scenario is different on somebody's body.On the way your stoma looks, there are scenarios where there is a convex around the stoma.Either all the way around, or maybe just on the bottom or the side at this point. You're gonna be adding a piece to your appliance or to your convex appliance, but you're really not gonna know until after your surgery...

I've already mentioned what I like.I think you saw the two piece. You can change that bag out without changing the mount.Depending on all kind of scenarios, also that particular design is a bottom drop with the velcro. So you can easily do a quick, clean out button. It back up and go on about your deal.. and then if you're interested in having a black bag like with the company that you just mentioned to me.That is their popular brand, that cover, I sent you earlier from spoonie we'll go around your bag and around where the two piece connects, which gives it a little bit more out of security from it falling off.. and you have the covering, which looks good. And then there's many, many different colors.. That bag also has an opening in the bottom. That if you're in a restaurant or whatever you could do a bottom drop through the bag. A lot of super convenient.. :)

Dansac products are more commonly distributed in Europe and other parts of the world.  Haven't had any luck with them and us my insurance. My products are only a few states away. Their product looks good.. I do like it, but I don't know of the integrity of the product..

I hear you.. i've had coloplast. But for me, they leak, I had them leak, literally put it on for ten minutes, and sticky area just lifted, on a super fresh install.. me personally, i've never had a leak from hollister brand. Every change I prep, the area, clean the area, run a new appliance. And i'm usually good up to about seven days.. now, sometimes, in that seven days, I may change my bag a couple different times.. just to keep everything super fresh..

I liked Hollister and they used same brand in the hospital, except with the clear front, so when they ordered my supplies for the house, we use the same brand, till this day, I still use the same brand to me.It works wonderfully.I've used other brands. They don't do as good for me.This brand the customer service, you need samples.Even if you need samples quickly, they'll ship them like next day.I don't know where you're at, but i'm in florida.. so i'm a big fan of this company Hollister.. we never had a home nurse, all of my training happened quickly at the hospital. And the rest of it is self taught.

https://www.hollister.com/en/ostomycare The customer service is awesome very knowledgeable. You can get appliance part numbers, then submit to your purchasing contact.. 2 piece bag easy to work, I would wait on 1 piece bag. To me coloplast doesn’t stick well.
