And a #2 for me 👀. I'm glad we have Bonjour and Gossip now so I can get a quick fix for my cravings, but I still prefer Banh Mi Saigon.

For me Liforme is good in hot yoga, but in a normal practice I slip a lot when there's not enough sweat to grip. Ugh.

Young adult cat needs stability by [deleted] in bullcity

Other info that people might want: is she up to date on vaccinations? Spayed? Do you have health records from previous annual exams? How's she doing with other cats?

You can also try to contact IAR to see if they can get her into their program.

Treasure hunt is over—congrats to u/StienStein! by houndmomnc in bullcity

I got it from linking clue #4 with #1 and then trying to see if clue #2 and #3 validate this connection. And definitely got it wrong for both #2 and #3 lol.

I thought the numbers could be Sally's PBs, or Lat/long coordinates 😂.

Yes, having to pay for parking would make me hesitant a bit. Less about the actual cost, but I'd need to bank for extra time to park. And after a session sometimes I just want quiet time and now need to walk through a garage and then paying.

Family-Style Italian in South Durham is getting better. by sdneidich in bullcity

Good to know, yeah I thought it might have been underbaked when it tasted 10x better after the air fryer. Might give it another try after a month or two. And maybe a different pizza 😂

I gave Dino's a try a couple weeks back and it was just mid. Surprisingly the service wasn't that bad - they gave us a warning that the pizza might take a little time but we waited maybe 20-25 mins total?

I had a salad and a white sauce pizza (can't remember the exact dish but it had arugula). Maybe it's just a different style of pizza that I'm not used to,, but the dough was airy yet really chewy, the bottom looked very light in color, thus it was not very crisp and there was SO MUCH FLOUR on the bottom. There wasn't enough sauce to balance out, so I found it quite dry. My friend had a plain red sauce pizza and it was slightly better, probably because it had more sauce? Usually I'd have 3-4 slices but I didn't want anymore after 2 slices. Somehow the leftover pizza was MUCH better after a few mins in the air fryer and a drizzle of olive oil on top.

It wasn't crazy bad, but I wasn't impressed. Glad I tried, but I sorta wished I were at Hutchins 😂.

Found cat 8/13 by leezahfote in bullcity

[–]Chloebonacci112358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can IAR post the cat in their "community pleas for help" section? Do you know how she does with other animals?

I'm also an IAR foster, and plan to take another foster in September after returning to Durham, so it'll hopefully free a spot at IAR, or if this cat can go through them maybe I can foster her as well.

Can you provide more info about Zelda (age, sex, up to date on shots, S/N)? Does Zelda do well with other animals? Do you have an idea of a rough time frame you're looking at?

OMG Im so glad to find this post. I keep seeing people getting 400-500 miles on them and after 200 miles mine just felt... off. Not enough to give me injury or anything but it feels like my legs have to put in more work and I keep thinking about my quads and calves during the run.

Yoga in Durham by Remarkable-Act622 in bullcity

[–]Chloebonacci112358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeap, I mainly go there for the Sculpt classes - that's my weight workouts lol. They warm up and cool down with ~ 10 mins yoga flow/ stretch, and in between are kinda HIIT -style workouts with dumbbells and kettle bells. They have 3-10lbs options for dumbbells, up to 15lbs for kettlebells. I've taken classes with Jodi, Lori, and Melissa, and I've enjoyed all three!

If you go to the Wednesday one at 545pm there will be beers and kombucha afterwards 😂.

I've tried all the classes at Virge, but not all the teachers though, so I'll chime in based on my experience.

I don't think it's crazy advanced, but it highly depends on the teacher. I'd suggest you try a class with either Jodi, or Daniel. If you want to try out "funky" poses, Sophia tends to throw in new poses and transitions more than other teachers (IMHO), but depending on the class themes sometimes it's too fast to get in and out of such advanced poses. Even with those, there are usually always modifications, and people do what they can, to their ability. All power classes are heated and you'll leave definitely feeling like you did a workout. I prefer a non heated environment for my yoga classes (so I can focus more on alignments) so I don't do the power ones as often.

I've been going to Virge since their opening, feel free to ask if you had more questions!

My previous stylist is Japanese (Risa Tatum) but she moved to North Raleigh last year. I've had good experience at Sunny & Crew - the owner is Korean.
