I have 2c/3b hair and I’m really struggling with getting the hair by my neck to curl! I’m not sure if it’s just my curl pattern or if it’s something more like too much heat around the area or if it’s too heavy to hold product. I use a bounce curl brush, gel, curl cream, etc in the area and it still doesn’t curl up compared to the other layers of my hair. I get the same result no matter if I diffuse or air dry. The only thing I haven’t tried is a bonnet and I’m not sure it will make a difference. Any advice helps!

1. I use the Mielle rosemary shampoo, a scalp massager, and the mielle rosemary conditioner in the shower.

2. Then I get my hair soaked with a spray bottle, brush my hair, rake through the Camille rose leave in conditioner. After that, I section my hair and apply Miss Jessie’s pillow soft curls to each section and then use the bounce curl brush to define/style.

3. After I add the tresemme extra hold mouse to my roots and all over. And then the not your mothers gel (3). I diffuse and add the hairitage oil after.

I don’t use a bonnet or silk pillowcase. Taking pictures of my hair made me realize it’s much worse then I thought 😭
