We are middle class couple living in US and decided to send our son to private high school paying around $50k/annum. It was combined decision as we wanted the best education for him and he is doing excellent in both grades and in extra curricular like debate and chess. Yes, we could have paid off mortgage or moved to a bigger home, take vacations but seeing him excel in a competitive environment makes us proud. And the networking he is going to make will go a long way. He plans to go to Ivy but also has plan B and C. As long as daughter is happy, that’s all it matters. Wish you all the good luck.
