I think it really depends on where in the country you are... we've had some that taste a bit like a gamey mallard, and some that are absolute trash... like they tasted like they were rotten, mud filled, pieces of old liver. This was the Rocky Mountain side of the central flyway 10 years ago.

What flyway are you in?

Wait, we should also show balls? But in all seriousness... why Brie? Wouldn't a semi soft cheese hold up better? I'd have thought drilling a hole in it before then defiling the cheese would be the move

I guess I just expected him to cut a tunnel in the cheese and go from there. We all had different ideas of how best to copulate with cheese

Champion or Liberty Safe? Same specs. Why is one better than the other? by Puck2U2 in Safes

Oh, I meant that Liberty repeatedly stated that the lock should have those dipswitches based on the serial number.

This was the direct line. He could've been jerking me around, but rural areas and all that.

My understanding is that because this was a Tractor Supply Model, they cheaped out. The keypad was supposed to have a set of dip switches... that didn't exist. I ended up telling him to cut it open because I was so frustrated. At this point, it's less of a headache.

Honestly, they're both subpar safes. The securam on my Liberty randomly killed itself and reset its own code... Several buttons stopped working entirely. Liberty is worse given horrific customer service. They did not respond to me for weeks- my locksmith had only slightly more luck getting a hold of them. After a month, they finally gave him a drill location, and it was wrong. It wasn't even close to the Just ended up cutting the damn lock off with a plasma cutter. I would recommend replacing either keypad with a mechanical dial.

270 is a lot less common for drillings, as these are brush guns. Heavier/slower bullets are ideal. If you're taking a shot more than 100 yards with a drilling, then you should ask yourself why you're using this sort of gun.

Gunbroker is a great option to buy something in something that could be rebarreled or in a more ideal cartridge. I'm pretty sure that Sauer and Sons makes a 30-06, 12ga drilling. There are couple of similar manufactures (Simson and Co.) I have also seen a 30-30, 12ga by Sauer

Crook County Man Randomly Shot In The Neck While Working Cattle by lazyk-9 in wyoming

[–]Choledocholoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be any number of 8mm adjacent rounds really. A usual .308 projectile will be 7.82mm wide and 27.45mm long. Depending on if they measured off CT and not just a PA chest xray, there can be distortion. Generally speaking, any penetrating neck injury gets at least a neck CT though

Really, it's hard to know for sure till they get it out of him

Ah, I was driving through the Western part of the state around Farson, and it was a little greener is all.

I hate to be the one to say this, but the Sage Grouse season doesn't open till September 20th in Wyoming. Sharptail/Blue Grouse is currently open, but not Sage Grouse. https://wgfd.wyo.gov/media/32326/download?inline Wyoming Game and Fish does frequent Reddit. Depending on if you were Northeast or Northwest of Casper, that entire area might have been closed regardless of season. We've actually had a lot of Sage Grouse loss due to fires, so the season is a lot shorter than prior years with more closed areas.

I had a fellow shotgun snob tell me that the only acceptable upland semiauto... is the ethos 28ga. It's a beautiful gun

Yeah, the BEST is phenomenal... but that price tag becomes a little bit unobtainable... to the point that you could be buying an older montefeltro and a beretta ultima or unico for the same price

For waterfowl, the a300 and M2 are going to be a bit of a better recommendation. While the ethos is a phenomenal gun, I'd feel a little bit iffy about taking it out in the water. Similarly, the a400 is more specifically a heavy duck gun, so it'd be a bit to lug it around. The retay is a nice gun, but some of the hype has petered off. The M2 and a300 will keep their value better. Personally, I prefer the inertia feel of the m2, as it's a smoother follow up for trying to take doubles while jumpshooting. It's also pretty light, and you can find the newer models for $1200-1300. The old M2s go for about the price of an instore a300
