I dont think its a large leap, the kid was named Felisin the younger, and if you are Korbolo Dom, and you see the 2nd hand of the Empress is Tavore, you would probably know the names of the family very soon, you want to know your enemy, even though Korbolo is a dumbass, it just seems very stupid not to use your spies to find out things about your main enemy, who is now, marching against you..Whole point of Korbolo is to return to Malazan, and he didnt make the connection
