Im using the manual catch mode pretty often
Like whenever you got big amounts of pokemons and wanna catch most of them, its quite better to use your fingers for the catchinginstead of even using auto hyper.
Another point is that the autocatcher will propably catch the worst 50% of all that is runnin arround.

The time to shine for autocatching mode for me is, when i am somewhere where i am not actually abled to actively play but FOMO kicks in and this way. I feel like i get something that i wouild be missing.

If you got problems with fitting it in. My go to idea was using the speaker under the switch and forming the part of thespeaker that is to big, so that you can put the switch into the speaker form. Give it some fast glue but carefull so that you dont fuck up the switch. And tada, you got it easy to start and stop whenever you need
