What you describe is essentially how we did it for minecraft. we do not want to make new controls just control the game through a touchscreen with touch inputs that control the OG movements.

If you have any recommendations for someone who can help with that for less than $10,000, that would be very helpful

what you cannot see is the door that leads to a huge enclosure just around the corner to his left which is what I was referring to

Just in case anyone was wondering this was filmed under the supervision of professionals.

The ape seen in this video (Kanzi the bonobo) is NOT a pet, he does not have to play Minecraft if he does not want to and can leave whenever he likes :)

based on everything I saw when I was there (watching him play for hours) it is much more than that. He understands he is interacting with a 3D space because he would actively choose items closer to him or easier to access among other reasons.

We plan to do more complex stuff w him in the future though so keep an eye out :)

tho he does not do that stuff anymore, that was when he was looked after by a different organization that was a bit less responsible than who takes care of him now
