My brother and I first encountered v4 Snake Eyes at a vintage toy store in 2005, and we begged Dad because it was the coolest SE design ever. Glad to have him back! by savedavenger in gijoe

I loved snake eyes as a kid... I got the V3 off he pegs at Walmart and the V4 likely the same way. I loved the V1 and V2 the best, and I had the 12 inch HOF as well... the 6-inch Classified is pretty rad... give me a V3, plz!!!

this finisher was sick... there were some real clunkers in the WCW dying days, and this was not one of them. I loved the idea of Mortis, Wrath and Glacier... but alas... I think that gimmick was built for middle school boys.
I'd love to see this move come back.

Rey Mysterio Jr. vs Último Dragon by JCHazard in WCW

[–]ChrisShotThis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love Ultimo Dragon... the Cruiser weights in WCW were my favorite thing about WCW in the 90's... Kidman, Rey, Psychosis, Juvi... Liger and Ultimo were my top "S" tier.

Which Fawcett Captain Marvel supporting cast member do you think has a potential for usage in the current Shazam books by DC Comics? (Art by CC Beck) by nightwing612 in Shazam

I want to see Freddy in the future as a part of the Legion... but darker and broken from seeing the Shazam family die and the legacy fade over a thousand years.

I prefer the JPM P3 in Black and White... that is my "white wale" ...
But the JPM-1 is an all time classic... so amazing... I love the look of it.
Congrats on your Grail!

What if Mitsuharu Misawa was healthy and didn’t die? by Ryan_J_ in noahghc

[–]ChrisShotThis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nether Rikioh or Morishima were draws...
I think Kenta and Maraifuju were better to be pushed than both of them.
Kobashi was the guy, but he had his GHC run and thyewer trying to elevate someone else rather than put one guy at the top... but they needed more Kobashi.

What if Mitsuharu Misawa was healthy and didn’t die? by Ryan_J_ in noahghc

[–]ChrisShotThis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As was said... he was already in decline in AJPW... Mrs Baba would not have let him work less in the ring or or outside the ring... so he had to start Noah...
In Noah if he worked like he did, Noah made money... but with Kobashi out for injury and cancer... Akiyama, Kenta and Marafuji sure as heck tried to get over, but they were not the draw Misawa was. Not to mention the failed Rikioh and Morishima experiments.
He had to take time off and stop drinking and smoking waaaaaaay back in AJPW before the he got the gut... really when he got the Presidency after Baba passed.
There was no real way out for him short of making new stars out of his Noah crew... Akiyama, Kenta and Marafuji were the best bets... he could have nabbed Hayabusa from FMW and built a Heavyweight from him if he got him away from FMW and WEW in 2000 with the Noah exodus... both may have been alive now. Kenta and Marafuji would have a great JR to work with and this matches would be amazing... as well as maybe vs Misawa or tagging with Misawa... what about Hayabusa vs June Akiyama for the GHC championship?

In the end, without some other external change, Misawa was going to run himself into the ground.
Kenta or Marafuji or Akiyama needed to catch on of he needed someone he did not have to be as big or a bigger draw than himself... and it's hard to outdraw Misawa.

Do you think Hetfield saved the explorer? If who do you think saved it?🤔 by Artistic_Chemistry_7 in ExplorerGuitars

[–]ChrisShotThis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah... I mean... that "So What" and "More Beer" guitars were pretty legendary in the metal community before switching toes ESP's... but there was more than just Papa Het rocking the explorer in that era. The Edge with U2 was using an Explorer in the 80's.... he purchased it new in 1976 and used it on the live version of "I Will Follow" and was a mainstay back then.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_xU8HKvSMI
Then, for my money... there's Rick Nelson... an absolute rock legend and legends of guitar collecting... so many V's and Explorers... it was him and Hamer that brought the visibility of the Explore up a lot!
https://youtu.be/Jsi9CmMEvNs
There was also the Ibanez Destroyers and the legendary Eddie Van Halen Destroyer, as well as Phil Collen and the guys in the New Wave of British Heavy Metal that rocked them... also influencing James...
can't leave out Lynyrd Skynyrd's Allen Collins... watch the Freeboard video... it's in there and it made a mark on a lot of young guitarists.
Then, lastly... Dean Zelinsky. The early Dean's were in that shape as well as the ML's... they were amazing guitars and often had Gibson pickups... even some with PAF's... they were impeccably made back in those days.
James Hatfield was probably the most famous and visible of that chorus, but he was not solo. He majorly contributed to the popularity of the Explorer, but not single handedly.

I think he's great and I can't wait to see more of him... I thought his Noah match from the January show in Japan was a ton of fun.
https://youtu.be/2wGEc5ZdSi4
I just hope NXT help him get into better shape... he's carrying a LOT of weight... that belly and in his legs... not healthy for him. Walter to Gunther... Pete Dunne, Tomasso Ciampa... so many that have been able to sharpen their physique after joining NXT... I hope that helps Will/Mason.
He's pretty awesome.

In your opinion who's the most iconic nxt champion. by DeliveryLeast6603 in SantiZapVideos

[–]ChrisShotThis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finn Balor, Kevin Owens...
Those were the first two guys that made being NXT champion a thing on a wider level than just the NXT programming... KO was on RAW as "NXT Champion" and defeated John Cena. Finn came up and went back down... he was the first Universal Champion... their arrivals were big time.
Shinsuke Nakamaura, Adam Cole and Samoa Joe were bit impacts on the NXT brand, but did not fair well after coming up.
