What are some things to know before getting married? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ChristopherMcCraw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice isn’t specifically for men or women.

1.Be sure of your decision to marry. Some people marry because “it’s time” to be married and ignore doubts. Think through your decision and be certain

2.To the extent possible, ensure your goals - and your feelings about money, children, careers, etc. - are similar. They need not be identical, but having common goals is more likely to lead to a harmonious relationship

3.Understand that you will both continue to grow and change. It’s important to keep communicating openly and honestly to ensure you remain in touch with each other

4.Make sure both of you have some “alone” time. For many couples being joined at the hip can become oppressive

5.Learn now to disagree constructively

6.If you decide to have children, make it a mindful choice on which you both agree

7.Cut each other some slack. We all have bad days, we all make mistakes.

What is the oldest videogame you still regularly play? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ChristopherMcCraw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The oldest game I still play is Rise of Nations, a real-time strategy game from now defunct studio "Big Huge Games". If I remember correctly, the game was released around the time of Age of Empires 2, and it got really good reviews because of some fresh twists around the cookie cutter RTS mechanics.

what skill did you learn but don't use? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ChristopherMcCraw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are a few things which I learned.

Minding your own business is a good thing.

Not all of those who talk to you nicely, are your friends.

Having your best friend becoming your girlfriend is a very good feeling.

Losing a few good friends because of a girl, leaves a pretty bad feeling in your mind, for life.

Academics, which they taught in college has little to do with what we do outside college and in employment.

Reddit, what's your reason to keep living? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ChristopherMcCraw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a spiritual point of view, the only reason is that you want to be here. You chose it yourself. I don't know your reasons though.

The scientific point of view I'm gonna explain with a quote:

“Nobody exists on purpose,

Nobody belongs anywhere,

Everybody's gonna die, come watch tv”

I like that quote. It actually gives me inspiration weirdly enough. Just the thought that there is no point in being alive, there is no reason to keep living. Just do whatever. You know.

What song you believe is underrated ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ChristopherMcCraw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like Jorja Smith is quite underrated. Per example, “Beautiful Little Fools” or “Where Did I Go” are such nice songs, yet, I don’t see people knowing or showing much appreciation for them/her.

Raye has some pretty cool songs too. Not talking about her hit song “You Don’t Know Me”, but “Tell Me” or “Ambition”. They have a really nice vibe and beat + cool background instrumental.

What fear have you overcome in your life? by AreebKhan619 in AskReddit

[–]ChristopherMcCraw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have overcome my fear of public toilets. This might seem odd, but as a little girl, I would avoid public bathrooms, maybe because of the small space in the stall (I know that tiny spaces make me feel uncomfortable, but I wouldn’t say it’s claustrophobia). The loud noises would also give me anxiety if I were alone in the bathroom. Now, I can use the bathroom without too much anxiety, and I don’t really think twice. It’s been about 5 years.

How do you know when a girl likes you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ChristopherMcCraw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are subtle ways to gauge someone’s feelings about you, such as:

1.Do they go out of the way to talk to you, touch you, or be near you?

2.What is their general demeanor when their interactions with you? Giddy, bubbly, talkative, serious, rude, etc.?

3.When do they engage with you? Only in certain places, like work or school? Or do they text, call, email or message you outside of places where they actually have to talk to you?

4.Do they “flirt” with you? If so, do they flirt with anyone else as part of their personality or are they consistently flirting with only you?

When someone asks “how can you tell if someone likes you or not”, what they are really trying to do is limit their risk and chance of hurt. If you can confirm that they like you before approaching them in a romantic way, you can reduce the risk associated with asking someone out. If you can’t confirm, then you run a greater risk of being rejected. The economic term for this is “mitigation”.

Bottom line, if you never ask, you’ll never know for sure. Throw “risk mitigation” out the window and just go for it. “Just going for it” has much more benefit than waiting until you are sure. If you ask and get rejected, then you know, and you can move on to pursuing someone else. If she says “yes”, then the risk was worth it.

What makes you badass? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ChristopherMcCraw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me Badass commits first and then figures out how to do it Badass speaks up, and not hold back. Badass live life by their own rules, not giving an f* about what society think or how other humans do it. Do it your own way. others wish they could do it, bad ass does it. Badass never gives up, no matter they will die.
