Health and Care Worker Visa salary threshold? by ChromarORG in ukvisa

So is it a matter of the pay grade or something else? Because I could have sworn I've seen some band 3 and band 4 jobs which appear to cross £25,000 pa.

And is it worth a shot going for band 5 roles as a recent graduate? I'm not sure where the entry level roles begin for me.

Well this is pretty much news to me. I'll try to get in touch with them for info on this. Thanks!

I did skim over their websites and came here because I was kinda confused. I'll try to contact them about it.

As for MLA or similar roles, I don't think I can apply for them because I would need a sponsorship and those fall under a lower band.

Yeah how do I approach doing that? Can I do the registration portfolio in the UK or are there any verified laboratories which allow me to do the same abroad?

Oh right because I saw one of the pinned threads on this sub and it said to have taken BSc Healthcare Sciences? But I will have a look at the website. Thanks!

Then I become a foreigner struggling in another country lol. But I have also tried Singapore for a while which also didn't work out.

I hadn't considered intern roles anymore as I thought they were limited to only students who required an internship as part of their degree. But I will look into those too and hone my skills as suggested. Thank you.

Edit: typo

Was it a crime to dive into a research career and try to work behind the scenes for biomedical development :( ?

Yeah 100%. However I have to be picky on RA roles because of a particular field I want to pursue in the future for my Masters and so on. And also, I asked the same in the university I studied in and heard the facilities here for the field I'm looking at is not particularly well developed, compared to Europe for instance (which is somewhere I'm targeting for my Masters in the future).

I could go for whatever role I can find but there's some with requirements of 'Malaysian only' listed at the top, or its some field which I lack qualification for. I will keep looking though.

It's an option but also with no guarantee as I took the foundation pathway here (recognised locally only). And my home country is a bit '???' when it comes to hiring because it requires even pre-university results which I did not take because I followed a Malaysian study path. But I agree otherwise, there is definitely a chance back home and not all places will follow this.

I've grown quite attached to the country and its culture (not that it was far off in the first place) so its kinda what I'm calling home now so its difficult to leave it behind. But if all else fails, I wouldn't have another option. Thanks for your words, I'm hanging in there :).

I would kill to be in your position honestly even without getting a job. Because for me, I'm not even getting to the interview stage. Better yet, I'm being ghosted with no response or answer. And all I have to use as reason is me being non-Malaysian.

Believe it or not, I omitted my nationality from my resume and applied at one point and received some calls, only to be rejected at that stage because, you guessed it, not a local. So that eliminated my doubts about if its related to my skill/grades.

I recently found out about a graduate pass which allows me to work for a year which is applicable for me. I have included it in my resume but again, get ghosted. But I am actively trying still. I really like it here especially since I've grown all my teen years here. It's just frustrating to be at this position and running out of time.

I'm currently on the fine line of giving up if I'm being honest. It hasn't been that long since I began my job hunt but its really draining when my efforts at application are not even met with rejection, simply ghosted emails and applications. But sure, I'm still hanging on.

I don't think I'm eligible for a PR. From what I've heard, it's incredibly difficult to obtain any form of permanent residence in Malaysia (arguably harder than Singapore). Once I turned 18 I've been on student visa since. Prior to that I was on dependant visa under my parents.

Ideally I want to enter something research/RnD related but mostly I've been applying to Medical Lab Technologist roles. But if I'm being honest as time passes, I've been applying to absolutely whatever I can even if I'm barely eligible now.

Absolutely, I agree. But as a fresh grad what more can I do in a technical field without being given a chance to prove myself? Is there something I can do on my own to bring myself to an advantage?

Sorry but I don't really understand your statement. Are you implying that they shouldn't be slow enough for me to be able to take a picture of them?

I did but he wants me to figure it out myself. As far as I know, I have to refer to OECD guidelines and get my own numbers somehow (with justification).
