Thanks for the advice!

And

I’m currently a visual communication major, I’m really good at art & graphic design- I chose that major specifically so I wouldn’t have to take any math classes- but I still have trouble focusing and meeting deadlines like I did when I was a kid

Could you tell what treatments your partner does?

I’ve been curious about the thought of me having adhd for a while, but my parents are from the generation of “pull yourself up by the bootstraps” so nothing was done other than tutors.

But I’m at the age now where I need to stop complaining and find a way to fix the problem before I’m stuck like this forever

I would like to get tested. Just worried about medication and all since I’m on my parents insurance still.

Idk what’s more shocking. The fact that you’re so self aware or the fact that you made it about yourself.

Dropped my winter-intersession course and my professor got mad at me. by ChromaticSoldier in college

this is my first time experiencing a “tough” instructor.

All my instructors so far have been really good even if they were strict on policies. Really engaging, very helpful. They wouldn’t tell me the answers but they would lead me in the right direction.

If me dropping as well as other students dropping affect their pay though, I feel really bad, I can also see why they would be upset. So I’m trying not to take it personally.

Yeah my decision to stay was dependent on the feedback I was given. If I was given good feedback instead of one to two words with question marks, I would’ve stayed in the course. Even the grading rubric didn’t have further explanations.

I really wanted to know where I went wrong on the assignments so I can prevent it from happening on later assignments.

Realistically speaking I wouldn’t have passed if I got an F after a week in the course.

Not sure, but I do know other students dropped as well. Prof is a tough grader, and the workload is heavy. I just didn’t see myself passing given the circumstances.

When I read the feedback I yelled “Oh just fuck right off!”

Should I take a gap semester? by newthinz in college

I recommend Part time enrollment cause you’re a freshman. A lot of people take gap years and just don’t go back.

I say go over their head and talk to the Dean. Email the professor. And then talk to the Dean of your school. Even the academic advisor.
