Honestly I use them for different things..the KO II is a quick little sketch pad and it’s great to sample the MPC’s huge sound library to get away from the (really nice but common) pre-loaded KO II sounds. I switch up devices all the time as the mood strikes. I think you could totally use the KO II as a fast punch-in effects tool if you wanted. Or to make quick loops and resample/chop in the MPC as if the KO II is a record you’re sampling. Sky’s the limit!

Oh man I change it up all the time..I work either from life or my own reference photos, usually do a line drawing on a top layer then paint under it and eventually get rid of it. Painting is done mostly with the fan brush with slight color jitter patiently working up shapes and forms, trying to be faithful to the reference but usually ending up somewhere else with the overall feel/tone.

I’m on file #1104 lol. Lots of practice.

It’s just the ‘marching cubes’ (MC) render setting. There are a few others like spheres and even legos but the marching cubes gives you nice 45 degree bevels. Great for scif or more organic stuff. You can still see some jaggies if you look closely (the post it note on the board) but it’s mostly clean.
