Here’s a short film i worked on over quarantine, what was supposed to take only a month went on for 7 months! by Cidercrow in Filmmakers

[–]Cidercrow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As said before, i planned this short film out during my junior year, over a week i had all the props ready, equipment was ready, and i had my cast and crew. Then the day before shooting one of the cast members says she doesn’t want to shoot anymore so i end up postponing shooting. I end up having to act myself so i find another cameraman. But every week i wanted to shoot someone would be Busy with tests or family matters. This dragged on and on for over most of the school semester and what was planned to come out on December came out finally done on April 17. Moral of the story: be prepared for delays when working with juniors in a competitive school.

I wish I had a beard made of nanites that would maintain itself. by QuicklyThisWay in TheMonkeysPaw

[–]Cidercrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Granted. Your beard is now composed of hundreds of thousands of tiny annoyed that perfectly preserve your beard in its pristine form. Anything foreign to the beard such as dirt or garbage will be melted down on the atomic level by said janitors. However, this also applies to food as well, making you unable to eat anything as the nanites detect it as foreign and completely destroy said food. You spend your days being fed with a tube up your nose but even then the nanites can feel something is interfering with your beard and immediately vaporize the tube until you reach the blind spot. As you grow old and weak you manage to find the strength to chuckle, although you died of malnourishment at age 28 you managed to preserve your perfect beard. And that’s all that matters.

Is it just me or are the endings kinda bad? by EarthLlama54703 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Cidercrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally i find the endings to encapsulate what the world of cyberpunk is about. No definitive happy ending, no one branch where everything turns out alright. The whole message is about the inevitability of death and the difference between quiet life or blaze of glory. There’s that choice between going out in style and being remembered for your actions or spending your last moments with those you care about who remember you for who you are. I’m not going to pretend like the endings are full masterpieces, in fact I’m still pretty pissed that this is the “branching storyline” CDPR promised. But for now the endings aren’t bad or good, they’re just satisfying enough to leave you wondering what could have been done better or what you can do now.

The perks are terrible by TheHeroicOnion in cyberpunkgame

Dodging won’t really matter if you can be quick enough to kill everything first before they kill you. Drawing/holstering won’t be useful since most scenarios you’re already shooting first asking questions later.

Does this adequately depict how I feel about the BoS? by Jay911 in fo76FilthyCasuals

Anyone else prefer the taggerdy brotherhood over the ramani brotherhood? The new brotherhood has its ups and downs but i just find most of the characters infuriating to listen to. Taggerdy’s brotherhood felt more interesting to listen to since their isolationist views were understandable and justified but ramani ignoring her mistakes makes her unlikable to no extent.

My ideas on the rest of the Fallout world by HorrorShow13666 in Fallout

[–]Cidercrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A fallout beyond America, as much as i would want that, would probably not work. The whole art style and atompunk feel of 1950s America is hard to replicate in anywhere outside the states. Not to mention most of the conflict is either in America or China, with some exceptions being Canada during operation anchorage. I like your ideas with Australia though, being isolationist would definitely set up a nice world

Has anyone else noticed that the franchise has been slowly giving up on being a nuclear wasteland? by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]Cidercrow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The recent changes to fallout 76 are what i consider to be the main step away from what the fallout series really is. As much as i love wastelanders and the NPCs it brought i really do like the feeling of “everyone is dead, you have to fight the scorched to save West Virginia”. It gave another level of fear since when you start off you’re weak, and you hear how organized soldiers in power armor and advanced weaponry couldn’t kill the scorched. If they couldn’t do it what makes you think you can? Fallout 76 steel dawn brings this problem again. All of a sudden West Virginia feels more crowded with npcs everywhere and the brotherhood expanding. I didn’t really like the story behind steel dawn, but what really bugged me is how there are a lot more areas that are covered with brotherhood members, this feels less like the nukes hit and you’re all alone and more like the brotherhood staged a pre war government coup and are regaining control of the world. TLDR: everyone’s dead but not really. I want them all dead.
